    Well, there's your first Tulo DL stint of the year. 6-8 weeks broken hand.

    I can't understand making a decision on Aaron Sanchez' future based on Gavin Floyd. If Sanchez earns the spot, you have to give it to him. Floyd is not a long-term asset.

    I'm good with it. It's probably his last real chance to take a rotation spot and run with it. If he can actually throw strikes, he can be a valuable starter. If not, pull the plug.

    As a Rodon owner, I have strongly considered trading him for Tanaka. I would put Pineda and Ross at the bottom of that tier.

    The most important thing is whether or not he's throwing strikes and cutting his BB rate.

    I really like him as a pitcher but the injury risk is very disconcerting. Here's the tier he went in for BORED: Darvish Tanaka Stroman Quintana T. Ross Matz S. Gray Pineda Hamels Rodon Smyly Seems about right, but I'd probably take most of those guys (especially Stroman) ahead of him right now because the risk of him losing a year is so high, plus I loathe the Yankees.

    Yeah especially because it's the exact same format. I do like it for early season trades.

    It's baffling and we all hate it. Try to comfort yourself with the knowledge that it really doesn't matter very much -- over the course of a full season it might make a difference of a few runs.

    This is a competitive team and we are talking about fungible 4th OF types, I don't see why options should play any consideration. None of these guys are long-term assets, just pick the one that can help our team the most right now. Ezequiel Carreras and Junior Lakes are a dime a dozen.

    Lake has no business ever playing CF, same with Dom Brown.

    I feel like Lake has had 200 MLB games to show he can hit, and he hasn't. At least with Ceciliani there's an unknown element and possibly the upside of a league average bat.
