    Bingo. Ceciliani should have gotten the job, not because he's great but because Carrera is complete and utter refuse. The rest is pretty much immaterial. I would have liked to see Venditte over Tepera but it's not like Venditte can really punch anybody out.

    We were never going to QO Storen, you guys are putting the cart before the horse. He's not even close to good enough to warrant a $14M offer, hence he would gladly accept it and there would be no pick for us in any case.

    Osuna is a better pitcher than Storen so it's perfectly defensible from the invalid perspective that your best reliever should be your closer. I really don't give a f*** about a few hundo K in arb 3 years from now and neither should you.

    Remember when we DFAed him, and everybody on the BJMB was ecstatic about it? Then Oakland claimed him, and then immediately waived him again before he even played a game, then we re-claimed him and said "you're a 1B now," and he's pretty well been a Top 15 hitter in baseball ever since then.

    Jesse Chavez could live the rest of his life off his 2016 salary, he's probably just stoked to be a major leaguer, and he knows he'll get a shot to start at some point. I would scrub toilets for his $4M a year.
