  1. Yeah, he needs to draft a Carlos Correa and then trade him for Matt Holliday and a Japanese guy.
  2. TRM is on the clock, and just a reminder that Victor Robles is already owned in this league.
  3. I maybe could have gotten Maitan at 4 or 6, but I wanted to push some chips in on him. I've actually been hustling quite a bit the last few weeks trying to trade up to nab him.
  4. Yea, 1 to 4 isn't much of a dropoff when there's no consensus at the top of the board.
  5. Confirmed. Let's kick this s*** off. I'm taking Kevin Maitan.
  6. JG is around and knows the draft is on. They have a target but are weighing some options.
  7. I meant 2013 high school draftees, not just any guy who was drafted out of high school.
  8. Just curious, as I haven't bothered to check: have any high school draftees from our original MiLB draft made it to the majors yet? Groome is like 4,000 years away.
  9. According to Yahoo, Miller has been the best RP in this format and #15 overall this season. I do wish I had another share of Contreras, though.
  10. I'm the Dave Dombrowski of DDL, aren't I?
  11. In the end, it's going to come down to money. I'm sure Edwin and his agent have been aware of potential suitors for a very long time now, the fact that Boston is a potential landing spot is extremely obvious. Still, you're not allowed to discuss the acquisition of players under contract to other teams, and so that behaviour needs to be nipped in the bud.
  12. Yeah, they're both 3Bs by the time they're 30, but it seems that Seager has a better starting point to stick at SS for longer.
  13. It makes a lot of sense to move Correa to 3B already, Bregman is raring to go and a better SS defensively, plus it's not like Valbuena is a defensive stalwart.
  14. Which one? They're both 6'4 and 210+ lbs. Seager has handled his defensive duties much better than Correa to this point.
  15. Yeah, looking at their current career WAR/162, it's a bit of a stretch. Seager WAR/162 = 7.5 Correa WAR/162 = 5.1 Seager is having a better rookie season this year than Correa had last year with considerably less fanfare.
  16. Cargo and McGee would be sexy AF
  17. You're really out to lunch if you think trading Bautista is even being discussed.
  18. You're underestimating how good of a prospect Harris is at this point. He's in the top 75-100 prospect range. I won't bother getting into the Donaldson comment because that isn't analogous in any way shape or form... completely different player at a very different point in his contract and on a much better team. Apples and oranges. Eduardo Rodriguez was considered a steal for the Red Sox and that definitely represents an upper limit on what the Yankees would get for Chapman.
  19. I don't think 30 IP of Chapman is going to necessarily be that expensive, considering how much 1+ seasons of Chapman cost the Yankees in the first place. The Nats are in heavy on Chapman, but they're not giving up the likes of Robles, Turner, or Giolito for him. The Yankees would be lucky to get someone like Reynaldo Lopez or Jon Harris for half a season of Chapman. They just need to get a prospect who's better than the comp pick they'd get, but that's not going to be a Top 25 prospect like the Padres got for Pomeranz.
  20. Odd. I guess if he's cheap, sure, although that means Edwin full-time at 1B and always playing one of Bautista or Beltran in the OF, where they're both pylons at this point. I'd rather go after Chapman, though obviously the price point is different.
  21. Osuna already said he wants to remain a closer. It's a dead issue.
  22. Yeah that is a bit odd considering Seager's career batting line is much better, and there are more whispers of Correa moving off SS than Seager these days.
  23. The tight K% is definitely a pleasant surprise. The 3B experiment might be short-lived, tho.
  24. Christin Stewart needs a promotion to AA, he's absolutely demolishing the FSL with a .438 wOBA, 21 HR, 18.5 BB%, .288 ISO. Imagine his numbers if he played in the CAL. Also, LOL: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/07/tigers-prospect-christin-stewart-admits-that-hecklers-call-him-bella
  25. Yeah... well I think we can all agree that AA as an 18 year old is not going to happen, in any event.
