  1. Yeah I get that, and I get that he wasn't known to drive the boat. Maybe he wasn't, maybe he probably wasn't. I know when I go boating, often times various guys take the wheel at different points. I've driven boats and I've never had a boating license. I'm just saying, at the moment of impact, we can only assume who was driving, since nobody survived it and nobody witnessed it.
  2. We don't really know who was driving it and we probably never will. From what I understand, all three of them were thrown clear from the boat onto the rocks. They were definitely at a bar prior to the accident, and I'm assuming at least the non-drivers were drinking... since that's what people do at bars.
  3. Injuries are one thing, but I don't know why the Jays would go out of their way to instigate a brawl during a week where one key suspension could destroy our entire season. Imagine if Donaldson throws a punch and is out for 3-5 games? It was just a bad moment to pick a fight.
  4. So we're going to dock Silvergun a 1st round pick for this infraction, right?
  5. Like anyone is going to keep Brad Peacock
  6. No s***, Ms. Marple. I'm also aware that if he plays in the NL, the team can placate him by giving him regular ABs without additional risk.
  7. They should be fully tradeable. I just assume if you trade him, he would occupy a MiLB spot for the other team and be subject to normal call-up limits.
  8. Absolutely not. The Mets are fighting for a wildcard.
  9. Damn, that one got me.
  10. I like that idea. Yes it is a lot of compensation, but warranted IMO.
  11. Wow he nailed it. Is Otani even enough?
  12. El Blocko Sal Perez Jose Bautista Albert Pujols Keon Broxton Adam Duvall Felix Hernandez Scott Kazmir Wade Davis Sam Dyson Tom Watson Of primary concern would be the acquisition of a 3B.
  13. But only two of those teams have PM trophies! ... but the other one has an additional bronze medal.
  14. Hah, well actually, Papi has barely started for me all year. I've only played him maybe 30-40% of the time.
  15. Yeah I was, but then I agreed to stay on one more year because I didn't want to walk away from my Goldy/JF core. Now it's been gutted, and maybe it's just best to walk away and throw it into a multi term dispersal draft. Thanks for the luck, JF pitched me into the finals with his incredible finale.
  16. Yeah man, it's f***ing awful. I'm an ******* for making this about myself, but I dunno if I wan't to continue on in FC without Fernandez. I drafted him, owned him through all the ups and downs, TJS, a championship. I built my whole team around him, and I don't see a future for it without him.
  17. Hasn't been discussed yet. I assume they'll just follow DDL's lead.
  18. You'd have to think this gives a big advantage to the Dodgers. Er, I mean, the NL. But actually, he'll be a Dodger.
  19. Thanks for the stats! Another interesting note, 3 teams now have Silver and Bronze medals without a championship to their name.
  20. It's definitely interesting. But isn't the average FB velo in that league like 85 MPH? I think most teams see him as a potential ace and probably wouldn't want to mess with that but having him try to be a hitter as well. He's probably more Madison Bumgarner than Hideki Matsui.
  21. I doubt he'll ever play the outfield, although pinch hitting could definitely happen. From what I read most teams view him as a pitcher first and foremost.
  22. Just my two cents, but I think under these rare circumstances, we could make an exception and just award you Otani directly to your minor league team, bypassing the waiver draft system. Even that might not be enough, but it would be a good start, and it avoids having to rearrange other people's draft picks. I would also suggest that we permanently put Otani below your dashed line on the Google Doc, such that he never occupies one of your 12 MiLB spots.
  23. I was thinking about this too. Obviously the family is stricken with grief over the loss of their kin, but it's also pretty tragic to think about all the money he would have made and how it would have supported his entire family for generations. They were counting on that, and now it's gone.
