Gleyber for Verdugo seems like the exact kind of trade I will come to regret. Acquiring a player that I never liked or believed in due to a positional crunch while selling low on a guy I’ve spent years becoming emotionally invested in.

Have they? Going from would-be whistleblower to the foremost culprit of substance tampering is a bit of a tough look. He’s no more guilty than Verlander, Cole, etc, but he had the bad sense to turn himself into a hypocrite, and he’s already a colossal douche.

Shapiro made a comment on T&F today about how they would be getting more production out of catcher eventually. You could ascribe that to Kirk or maybe just RTTM, but I sort of felt like the implication might have been Moreno. -
