    Yeah, holds guys and washed up vets aren't slam dunk keepers in this format. Sometimes even closers get cut if their ratios are just average or their job security is tenuous.

    I'm not banking on the bat but honestly it's a total unknown at this point. He could be what we thought Judge was going to be pre-2017.

    Also, a perhaps under-appreciated aspect of this trade is that it actually frees up two pre-cut roster spots for me.

    I am very high on Honeywell, I just think Ohtani's ceiling is even higher as a pitcher and I'm interested in rolling the dice on his bat. And while I'm high on Honeywell, I personally feel now might be a good time to sell on Kingery (ISO ?) and Florial (Ks ?). I do think I may have overpaid when we re-visit this in a couple years but that's okay with me, fantasy is about having fun and Ohtani seems like he's going to be really interesting to own. Pretty stoked to have a Sale-Ohtani-Syndergaard rotation.

    As a pitcher, I'd say maybe 30%. Combined with the chance Ohtani can hit tho, lower than that. I do love Honeywell though, I'll have to try to reacquire him elsewhere.

    Ohtani: one prospect, two MLB roster spots. One roster spot during cutdown unless half is traded or dropped (Ohtani Super power). Imo!

    Yep, this would only ever make sense for a pre-prime player signed to a very team-friendly contract with $100M in surplus value there to be had... ie no one else in MLB.
