  1. Mannnnn, if the Rays were thinking abut running on the LF before that throw then they just got verification that even when shallow you can still beat the throw home from the LFer. That is one big black hole on D.
  2. Reminds me of a game played not too long ago where both teams were making multiple unusual errors in the same game.
  3. Didn't see much of a difference. What are you talking about?
  4. Agree with this - dumb and dumber actions.
  5. I think he was questioning the 2nd pitch up and in. A bad call puts the hitter behind the eight ball figuratively speaking. In a close game it can be quite tough to stay calm and not voice your opinion.
  6. I saw the same as frenchsoup. Maybe Martin saw that too but when he realized he would not win the race he changed his mind however the catcher made a great thrown to 3B to get the out.
  7. I was wondering if anyone else saw that too. It looked like the pitcher was not backing up home plate and it could have been a race to the bag but it sure backfired.
  8. To be honest, LFer would have had that play and the first hitter would have been out rather than 2 on and no outs. And here is another defensive error, not the pitcher's fault.
  9. He has been a pleasant surprise - nice addition. He got an opportunity and made the most of it. I am really happy for him.
  10. What a turn of events! Royals defence has been good but 1 bad play certainly impacted negatively on that comfortable lead. Jays fans are breathing a big sign of relief and hoping their BP can keep this lead for the win.
  11. I would not even entertain the idea of Colabello as a DH, only as a PH. I don't even like the idea of Navarro being a DH however just sticking players in roles they are not suited for with the hope they somehow manage to make a positive contribution is really lame. I know the GMs hands may be tied right now (other teams not willing to move decent players at reasonable value) but each outing you put subpar players in unfamiliar positions only puts pressure on defence and buries them in a bigger hole.
  12. The Jays have an injured DH, 1 OF who should not be playing there period, 1 the OF who either always gets bad reads and feels the need ti dive or just wants to make highlight reels, and 2 SP who can barely pass as a 5th starter. To top that off the big hitters are doing poorly of late. And here we go again with LF showing why he should not be there. Defence is important and plays (or non-plays) like this can kill a team's morale. Royals defines has been pretty nice to see.
  13. Jels he didn't say "I'm a bau...bauliever"?
  14. Gose is fast so most probably he would have been safe however all our LFers so far do nougat the ball back to the infield as soon s they get it even though it is obvious, at least to me, that managers are getting their hitters to run on balls to LF. Pillar does a good job of getting it back in as quickly as possible. It's almost as if they do not assume a hitter will run so they get to the ball, look to see what's happening on the base pads and then throw it in late.
  15. There is no money available for Jays spending ... so it's back to asking for a miracle.
  16. Just curious as to what you think they will realistically ask for Hamels and Cueto. I am not asking what you will want them to take which is a big difference. I am fairly certain the fans will go batshit crazy giving up so much talent.
  17. Not meaning to comes across as negative but LF is a concern as well. Carrera should be told he will be publicly whipped by the whole fan base individually if he ever dives for any ball ever again.
  18. lol... and don't forget the fan base as well.
  19. Really??? Are you serious? Let's not put any blame on the players cuz that would be unconventional thinking.
  20. Reyes as leadoff is not the issue with the latest round of woes for the Jays. Plate approach by most Jays lately has not been good and coupled with really poor fielding, and of course some bad luck, has contributed to their recent losses.
  21. Why do you think Anthopoulos is not doing anything? I am also frustrated with the pitching staff but I also know other GMs are not going to be gifting good pitching to the Jays. Jays is not the only team looking to fix their pitching woes so the higher the demand the higher the cost. The fan base will lose their minds if he were to empty the farm for good pitching so I guess this type of unreasonable fault finding will never end. No matter what he does it will never satisfy everyone.
