  1. Beane was not, Anthopolous just wore him out with his calls.
  2. I reacted the same way yesterday about the line-up and they sure shut me up. Hope to see the same sort of offence and defense tonight cuz that was one of the comforting/relaxing games I have seen all season.
  3. Hmmmmmm, seppuku seems like a more pleasant option over these two choices. I will still watch the game but this line up is really a gut-wrenching, vomit-inducing reaction to opening day lineup.
  4. Correct in both points - Reyes had yet another brain cramp (maybe he needs to rest till next season) and Jeter deserves the praise cuz he did get the lead runner, not so?
  5. Still a fan even though I don't like how the FO is moving. Off-season will be another torturous timeframe waiting to see if any impact moves will be made but the feeling is not a lot will be done there either yet I will still be anxious for 2015 ST to start. Vicious cycle but still a fan.
  6. Sorry, you will have to clear that with G-Snarls.
  7. Wasn't sure about Destiny so here goes: http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fpbs.twimg.com%2Fprofile_images%2F438258792913199104%2F66BtG0Qa.jpeg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Fdestinyeastwest&h=543&w=365&tbnid=i-y_rGyKj4fWTM%3A&zoom=1&docid=dEdyyRc00AjAsM&ei=zu8QVKW8IM6gyASe9ICoCg&tbm=isch&client=safari&ved=0CBQQMygMMAw49AM&iact=rc&uact=3&dur=4744&page=26&start=507&ndsp=22 http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.c-heads.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2014%2F07%2FDestiny_Delta-Element-C-Heads-3.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.c-heads.com%2F2014%2F07%2F23%2Fdestiny-sierra-by-delta-element-for-c-heads%2F&h=900&w=658&tbnid=ne0X0yys88FUUM%3A&zoom=1&docid=4XGXbrECX6yZsM&ei=zu8QVKW8IM6gyASe9ICoCg&tbm=isch&client=safari&ved=0CFoQMyhSMFI49AM&iact=rc&uact=3&dur=4018&page=29&start=572&ndsp=22
  8. They are not taking any chances with Rasmus. They may have seen him at batting practice.
  9. He doesn't seem to be playing with any energy - almost as if he has nothing to prove to keep playing at the position.
  10. True but it was not a good decision especially with 1 out and Encarnacion at the plate. It was a terrific throw also.
  11. He is getting his break at the ML level so he ain't having anything or anyone take that away from him. The only way he is leaving willingly is if he is unconscious.
  12. Stroman and the Jays got lucky there. That could have had negative consequences. Anyway, good to see Stroman smiling and wanting to get on with the game - He is pumped!
  13. I was just wondering about this. Do they use him at the resumption or get someone from the BP cuz too much time has passed. Would be a pity though.
  14. I agree with this. The runner was not even remotely close enough for a blocked plate call to make sense.
  15. Anyone loves comedy? There is a lot going on now at the Centre? Oh wait, broadcasters says its the sun's fault. This is really getting too hard to stomach. lol.
  16. If this wasn't so painful to watch it would be hilarious. If your stuff is good then just throw it and not try to be tricky. Why can't he throw strikes?
  17. I won't say it is selfish but kit sure was a brain-fart. This team needs to lay off of the beans - too much nonsense taking place.
  18. I also agree with this. He took way too long standing around after being called out. Head back to the dugout and let your manager deal with it.
  19. I am pretty confident people in baseball know you can be tossed for arguing with the ump on strikes/balls. It is one thing to ask the ump if that pitch was not too far outside/inside or too low/high or whatever but after being told it was a strike what do you think is taking place if the hitter continues talking about it? Isn't the player telling the ump that his call is not right? In other words, arguing about calls based in balls/strikes? Isn't there consequences for this listed in the rule book? Some umps are more lenient with this type of behaviour but you cannot blame an ump for following the rules when a player is overstepping the boundary.
  20. If you remain on the field and continue talking after being called out by the ump you can be relatively certainly the conversation is not about the weather. When you are given a warning by the ump and you insist on continuing with your tirade you deserve to be tossed.
  21. Who made that comment? Anyway, you cannot argue balls and strikes so if you do then you stand the consequences. The ump allowed him to voice his thought and then asked him to head back to the dugout by way of a sign. Bautista did not comply so rightfully he was ejected. I do not like that he was thrown out but you need to abide by the rules of the game.
  22. Well he doesn't have the benefit of the replay but when the ump gave him the sign to head back to the dugout he should have complied cuz no amount of showing disapproval with change the ump's mind. Now, that can be seen as a silly play on Bautista's part. Sure frustrations are mounting but now the Jays have to deal without that bat in the lineup.
