    Leyland is a senile old f***. What did he do that's so special? He had one of the best rotations of all time this year, the best hitter in baseball and still only won his division by a game. Not sure what's so special about him, seems like a bit of a dumbass.

    Did you watch the game the other day? He called a bunt in like...the 4th or 5th inning, with a guy who just posted a 6 WAR season. It ended in the way all bad decisions should end, with the Red Sox scoring no runs after getting the first two men on. Farrell is still a poor decision maker, but it doesn't matter when you have a team that performs. This is just another example of managers being grossly overrated, and there are a number of ******** narratives to choose from. The self-pitying Leaf fan imbecile will take the approach that we didn't give him enough time to blossom into a great manager. Or somehow he "inspired" all the Red Sox players to play to their full potential. It's just sickening. I'm sure you are one of those dipshits who regreats letting him go to Boston in the first place. There is some good that could come of this, though. Rogers suits don't know f*** all about baseball, so maybe this further tarnishes AA in their eyes.

    That's true, but I wouldn't hang my hat on it after less than 600 PAs. People in the scouting business overreact like crazy to small samples. Hell, that other article from Law where he explicitly states that how guys looked over like 10 ABs would cause them to slide down his lists. I wouldn't complain, just makes drafting in fantasy so iffy because prospect rankings are volatile.

    I have no idea why really fast guys are constantly overrated. Off the top of my head, Hamilton, Gose, Dee Gordon, Alcides Escobar, Ben Revere?, Aaron Hicks etc, etc. Our very own DJ Davis. Probably Byron Buxton, too. Guy rode a .400 BABIP all year long. He's a great prospect, but #1? No way. These prospect guys all blow their loads over speed.

    It would be different if he was a really good player. Kinda like JPA to a much lesser extent. Be cocky when you're a top player at your position or gtfo.

    Sweet, 3 of the 5 best hitters are in my MiLB roster. The Jays had an awful draft. 9 pitchers before taking a position player, that's a recipe for success.

    It's truly amazing that after Pujols, Fielder, Hamilton, Johan Santana, Rodriguez, etc. these teams never learn from their mistakes.

    Joc Pederson was a great pick in the DDL. I think these lists are far too reactionary, Buxton had a really good year, but it was just one year. How is Taveras now 10 just because he was injured? Shouldn't these rankings be about who is likely to make a big splash in the majors?

    Agreed, didn't come off as arrogant to me. He does have a good curve, everyone knows it. What's wrong with stating it?
