At least they can't use that ridiculous excuse that Cabrera was better "down the stretch" this year...so far at least.

I have a hard time believing that Trout is nearly a whole win better than Cabrera offensively, even with the baserunning.

Who's Pujols? On a more serious note, the answer is probably not. Since he watches only Jays games, he's heard of Lind and therefore it is possible for him to be having a better year than Albert.

Yeah, because I would think that an older guy having a single breakout season is better than a surefire first ballot hall of famer. You know what sets Cabrera apart from Donaldson? Cabrera will have a few more years that are at this level and this is probably the best year Donaldson will ever have. Some players can come out of nowhere to have single seasons that rival the best players in the game, but the greats and very goods do it consistently over the course of their careers.

This season, Donaldson has been on the same level as Miguel Cabrera. <- Good sig material? There you go. As a second part, I love Miggy as a hitter and no one hits inside junk better than he does. I don't want to put him down just because you can't wrap your mind around the fact that defense and baserunning exist.

Of course not, Miguel Cabrera is one of the best hitters I've ever seen. Is Donaldson close to him due to the fact that he's a much better defender and baserunner? Absolutely. You need a good defender at third, though and Detroit's constant disregard for good defense is probably the biggest reason why they under perform almost every year.

Holy s***, Mike Trout is going to have an accumulated 21-ish WAR after his age 21 season. Has that ever been done before? This guy is a once in a century talent and it's really a shame he's become a whipping boy for traditionalists to flex their ignorance (many of them at least.) It's too bad. This shouldn't be a Trout vs. Cabrera battle. They are two of the best players to ever play the game and it's almost as if you have to like one or the other.
