  1. You could apply that last sentence to a lot of things.
  2. It's actually pretty amazing that Bryce was unanimous given that his team didn't make the playoffs.

Is Dinger pretending to know basketball again?
  4. IMO, he's not a hall of famer until Edgar is a hall of famer.
  5. Yeah for sure, but the really fascinating thing for me is that he keeps improving. You'd think that, because a large part of why he's good is simply his delivery, he'd be getting figured out more and more. But he gets older and just misses more bats than he did the previous year while throwing more pitches in the zone. It is really quite amazing.
  6. Get your mind out of the gutter, man.
  7. Obviously, any buying in of Santana's skillset would have to include the injury caveat. If he put up last year's numbers while healthy, I'm staying far away but for me, as a non-doctor or anything of the sort, it seems like his issues very much paint the picture of back problems. Not to equate the two, but this was the first year Santana was a full time 1B, and he was hurt. We saw what Victor Martinez did after he got out from behind the plate, and while Santana doesn't have his exceptional contact ability, he has a better eye and more power. There's no way I'm closing the book on this guy. And yeah, I own him and am trying to trade him in the BBDL but it's not because I want to. I actually feel like I'm going to lose the trade where I deal him big time but I have Rizzo, Bird, V-Mart and Santana for 2 spots. I am considering just keeping him and waiting for him to prove me right but that will take time and people may not believe anyway.
  8. But what I'm saying is that you can quantify the impact of a guy like O'Day, and by what he's done and will likely continue to do, he is EASILY worth 7.5 million per year. Breaking down cost per win, he's a very nice bargain over a reasonably short term.
  9. I wonder if this will actually work
  10. Why does it matter that he's a sidearmer? He's been an absolute elite reliever for 4 consecutive years while throwing 87. He just had his best season ever. His swinging strike rate has gone up every season for 5 straight years. The guy puts up obscene numbers and after so long, it can't be a fluke. To top it off, it appears that O'Day might be a bit of a FIP beater, and that's with an already very good FIP. Average ERA under 2 in the past 4 years. RA-9 WAR of 2.2, 2.0, 2.7, 2.7 in his time with Baltimore. Cherry on the sundae: this would really piss off Orioles fans, but he seems like a really nice buy for what he's asking for.
  11. Idk what to tell you. He's got a pretty intriguing profile as a guy who could just explode at any time. Dealt with back issues this year that suppressed his power and likely added to his pop up problem. Doesn't strike out much, might have the best eye in the game. He's one of those guys to buy low on due to injury. If he's healthy, I could see him put up 30+ homers with a godly OBP as a full time 1B. Soooo...if you're selling him I'll trade for him too, lol
  12. I would have if I'd known that no one was interested in Wainwright at all.
  13. This is truly incredible. I get a bunch of interesting guys who you were going to cut due to lack of room (helps both of us) for a very minor SP downgrade, and the reaction is incredible. Do you guys not follow baseball?
  14. To all bros: If you have guys that are on the fringes, I'm willing to buy. I don't have much in the way of picks (would take something nice for me to give up 24) but if you see something you want in my farm or team that makes sense, I'm interested. I'm also interested to be on the other end of asset consolidation. If you have a tough crunch, perhaps a 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 for Wainwright could be available.
  15. To be fair, I never said that you can't be obnoxious. Freedom is a wonderful thing!
  16. He was part of a three way. Think I got Matz, Hoffman, Jackson and a pick for Romo, Ryu, Dahl and Dominic Smith.
  17. That hasn't really been true in my experience.
  18. NJH plz dump your trash all over me. Will take one Brandon Drury plzzzzzzz
  19. Wo, great deal for the Giants.
  20. I want to punch you in the face so badly.
