The lineup is pretty mediocre tbh but the rotation is definitely nice. I don't think the Sox are better than the Jays yet and everything they've done so far this off season has really hurt their long term outlook. -

Not in the eyes of MLB. They are all legal or illegal, and the bottom line is the intent to cheat. Personally, I completely blame MLB for the steroid era; every professional player is going to do whatever it takes to win and when you create a culture where you pretty much have to juice just to keep up with everyone else, that's on the league. I really prefer today's game but it's not due to steroids outrage.

...no. It shows that Bonds was pretty much just as good in that context. The argument is that Bonds had to play against blacks, latinos, Japanese. The player pool was much bigger. Ruth played against guys who worked on a farm.
