Personally, I'd love Fangraphs embracing that kind of guy. We have Sickels, Mayo, Callis, whoever is still at BP, all writing lists the same way, largely based on hype and subjective ********. That's why the Greg Birds, Kole Calhouns, CoreDicks, etc. always "surprise" people since scouts mostly suck at what they do. I think if Farnsworth stays stat heavy and doesn't have an anxiety attack from the f***ing dumb FanGraphs mob, he could hit on a lot of guys everyone else overlooks.

I thought it might have been Mookie Wilson but there are pics of his autograph on a ball and it looks pretty neat. I figured Weston might have had a messier signature on a ball.

I think they get their due as being regarded as near GG defenders...everyone acknowledges that both players are great with the glove. You know who gets defense wrong quite often? Scouts. What can possibly be learned from 1 or 2 days of scouting? What if the Angels scouted Andrelton Simmons during that one game he made 3 errors?

From the way you framed that, seems like it might not be a bad idea. I'd waste zero resources on pro scouts if I ran a team.
