    Jesus Christ, these reports are getting superfluous at this point. Just assume the Jays are interested in everyone.

    Hard to say because he moves around a lot. He's a solid 1B, passable at 2B and decent in the OF. I guess people expect that he's just a statue but that's not the case. I'd be most worried about arm strength after his elbow surgery. He was worth 2 wins in 2016 while playing 85 games. My biggest issue is this label he has as a platoon bat; he's been a 123 wRC+ since 2013 vs. righties in 730 PAs. Steve Pearce is a REALLY good player. He deserves far more respect than he's getting. I would literally s*** my pants if we signed him. 3/45? Will take that, easily.

    Omfg yes plz. Holy s***, just give Pearce everyday at bats instead of telling him that he's gonna be platooned with Smoak. That might be what swings him away from signing here. He can play OF, 2B, 1B adequately so hes likely to see a lot of pt regardless I suppose.
