Yep. I never trade for young pitchers, age is pretty much a non factor when it comes to longevity. Give me a Max Scherzer over a Noah Syndergaard every time.

Not really. He commented on the preseason top 500 that was sans Ja Rule Cotton, who is, in fact, a top 500 asset fairly easily, and said that it was indefensible. Then, Bret Sayre dug it up and tweeted it out as some kind of vindication while conveniently ignoring that his #13 pick has been even worse.

Todd would do a better job FFS, and I'm only half joking. The rest of the staff might be ok, but they all rush to white knight for Sayre at the drop of a hat. In fact, I think for all the times we've insulted this plug, he's only responded once or twice but someone like Ben Carsley will go and do that for him. What a joke. They can all f*** off as far as I'm concerned.

Primarily defensive SS Amed Rosario at #3. Apparently the fact that Nick Williams doesn't walk doesn't matter,but the fact that Rosario is a good defender does. Bret Sayre is unspeakably bad at his only job. This isn't like, some guy who has to do a multifaceted job. He has to evaluate JUST OFFENCE strictly for the purposes of 5x5 fantasy baseball. How he can be this bad at what he does is simply amazing. I'm of the opinion that it takes conscious effort. PS, not walking might not be important in of itself for newb leagues without OBP, but it's a bad trait that can lead to a lot of inconsistency. See Carlos Gomez, Rougned Odor, Starlin Castro, etc. Professional baseball writer!
