    Yeah, I agree that having Pillar doesn't really block anything. Cain is undervalued because he's a good defender and the Jays signing him doesn't necessitate any type of corresponding move where we trade Pillar unless Kevin causes a stink. I'd assume we'd need to promise Cain that he'd be the CF.

    Yeah but if he nets like 15 million AAV, you more than likely come out ahead. Cain might be overrated because of all the Royals dickriding, not sure, but I'd be pretty ok with 4/60.

    Cain is a pretty good player and I think I'd be ok with 4 years, but it really depends on the type of AAV he'll be able to secure. Having him and Pillar in the OF can pave the way for a less defensively gifted OF like Pearce or maybe Carlos Gonzalez.

    Just the Pirates IIRC. He owns the Mavs because he lives in Dallas but he went to school in Pittsburgh, and developed a fandom for that city's teams. I'm sure he'd jump at the opportunity to own the Steelers too. Pretty sure he also tried to buy the Penguins.

We didn't sign Otani so he'd be out for a year and a half where we wouldn't have made the playoffs anyway and then become active maybe when we don't have a complete dumpster fire of a team anymore!

    I have some revelations for people on this board. Ready? 1. 29 teams didn't get Stanton and his contract is pretty s*****. The Yanks are picking up pretty much all of it. Pretty much also assures that Bryce Harper will never need to shave his amazing beard. 2. 29 teams did not land Otani and he picked a pretty s***** destination. Just because neither of these players went to the Jays doesn't mean all we'll do is sign a backup catcher or a journeyman reliever. You people need to calm down.
