  1. Yeah, that trade you made that a lot of guys panned is making you look pretty smart.
  2. Harvey seems like such a douchebag. I know, irrelevant, but if this happened to anyone, I'm glad it was someone like him.
  3. Gleyber Torres hit his first major league home run today and he went back to the dugout where he was given the silent treatment. It's just so overdone and predictable now because literally everyone does it. I guess ballplayers aren't very creative.
  4. I like Glen Kuiper but Dallas Braden is one of the most obnoxious broadcasters I've ever heard. The guy is a cliche machine and seems to be constantly trying to invent a new catchphrase. Oh wow, he dresses like a massive hipster douchebag. Nice beard, though.
  5. You know, all of a sudden, Berrios can't strike guys out anymore. Are the f***ing Twins making him pitch to contact? My god what a stupid org. Miles Mikolas is my saviour. Another game without walking anyone.
  6. Is anyone else sick and tired of the silent treatment? It's so overdone and unfunny.
  7. Should I link you Ryan Braun's speech after his appeal succeeded the first time he got busted?
  8. Ichiro really needs to retire. I know he still wants to play but he's been terrible for years and I struggle to remember a time when he was an impact player.
  9. My guess is that the rain is from the collective tears of Browns fans.

Better if you were going for obviously dumb bait.
  11. Rodgers may not even get SS, though.
  12. Lol I'm not triggered at all. I just think Houston is up to something. I don't fault them for doing it of they get away with it, but I think it's fishy. Connor is just a rambunctious jackass that I sometimes have to keep in line.
  13. I want to commend you for trading Rodgers for him. Don't think that trade would've been on the table much longer.
  14. That's a good idea. Maybe I'll come up with a miracle cure for 5'5" guys so that can start dating women that are shorter than they are.
  15. It's good to challenge the narrative I'm supporting (obviously I have no proof) and you're correct, maybe that's the case. However, wouldn't a team like Toronto or LA or TB figured that out years ago? Verlander's explanation is that he looked at slowmo of his release on different pitches and how they came out of his hand. Almost every stadium has those slowmo cameras and apparently Verlander is a research hound. So, at age 35, on a pitch you're trying to get as much spin as possible, it's never occurred to him before that he should check that? Further more, how did he change the release of his pitches so that no ill effects at all were felt during the transition? It smells like serious ******** to me.
  16. Soy leads to hair loss and of the two of us, I would bet 1000000 dollars that I have a thicker head of hair.
  17. Wouldn't you use your breaking balls more if you could make them spin more? Also, like Bauer said, spin rates are more pronounced at lower velocities.
  18. Is it interesting? People are pretty dumb and gullible by in large and the media narrative jerks Yadi's little ding dong any chance it gets. He should be dropped on the first ballot but for some reason, these baseball writer pukes just love the guy. He is/was a good catcher. He wasn't great.
  19. Are you like Samson except your hair is linked to your intellect?
  20. Yeah, you know...minus all the dead money the Jays had to take on. Prospects are always a crap shoot, and Norris looked like he was going to be pretty good for awhile there. My point was that he made a lot of reckless deals and analytical FOs don't make reckless trades.
  21. Velasquez didn't look like he sucked at the time the trade was made. Also, that last line reminds me of someone else who had a few robberies and some blunders...Alex Anthopoulos.
  22. Not the first one but the rest are not very bold at all.
  23. If it was one guy, even two guys, fine. But the dramatic improvement in such a short amount of time with multiple pitchers? Especially older guys like Verlander and Morton? I don't buy it. Also, a "forward thinking, heavily analytical" FO would never make the Giles trade, or the Fiers trade, or the Liriano trade.
  24. Is that sarcasm? Cole and Verlander were already pretty elite. Morton and McHugh are the really odd ones. Verlander has the highest O-Swing in his career, highest swstrk in his career and a 5% drop in Z-swing from last year-all at age 35. That doesn't seem suspicious when added to all the other guys who magically improved in Houston? Cole has a 12% drop in contact rate from last year, 16!!% swstrk, and the highest O-Swing in his career. That's a pretty drastic change! Also, I don't buy that the Astros are a smart org. They've shown time and time again that they have no idea how to value players.
  25. I'd call it suspicious. How is it that every Houston starter magically learns how to drastically improve their spin rates? One guy, ok fine, but their able to teach a bunch of different guys with different deliveries how to add spin without throwing off their mechanics in a matter of weeks/days? Something smells funny in Houston. I'm almost certain they are cheating.
