    I don't buy into the turf being the issue. I'd say the team not being very good, fans not that interested, being a Canadian team, and a stadium in desperate need of renovations as the more likely reasons. Tropicana is just a f***ing dump that nobody wan't to visit.

    It's the offseason. Seems perfectly reasonable to take a break from the guys you spend 200 days a year with to me. Edit: Didn't notice he unfollowed him, that seems a bit odd.

    That's unfortunate. It's likely a permanent injury at this point, back injuries don't just go away.

    I'm not so sure about that. You can't just s*** on a fanbase that's show up for the first time since the mid 90's. I fully expect Shatkins to do everything they can to put a contender on the field without sacrificing the future. Is it impossible to believe this team can remain a contender while rebuilding at the same time?

    I seem to remember hearing something about the Jays paying most of Upton's salary last season as well.

    Lots of beers, lots of weed, lots of blow and still couldn't wait to get my ass out of there. Fishing isn't really my thing. I go out a couple times each winter to stock the freezer with perch and call it a season. I wouldn't ever spend 14 hours in an aluminum boat.

    WTF? Should have just got steaks or something.

    We got plenty of fish and it still got boring. Not a nice place to be by time you wake up hung over on Sunday morning either. Everyone around here uses portable huts as well, it's been too risky to leave a hut out on the ice.

    Myself and a few buddies rented a hut on Lake Simcoe for the weekend a couple years ago. It was interesting experience, but not something I'd do again. I live in the Port Dover area so I just stick to ice fishing on Lake Erie these days.
