    I don't like Bruce or Reddick, but I'd rather take my chances with Bruce on a one year deal if the cost was near nothing.

    We started with Shatkins and should stick with it. However, most think I'm not a fan when I say Shatkins and I have to quickly correct them.

    He has some value if he can eat 150+ innings, outside of that he's replacement level as far as I can see.

    I completely agree. I was going to argue that a smart FO (much like our current regime) could find guys like Chavez for MLB minimum all day. I completely forgot Shatkins actually traded Hendricks for this guy. He's clearly better than I'm giving him credit for.

    Great signing. Nothing not to like about this deal, at the very least the Jays likely end up with a solid utility guy who can fill in at multiple positions.
