Best case, we win and eliminate the rays and Milwaukee wins giving us the 10th pick. I don't want the rays to get extra money from the playoffs. In my opinion that could be worse for the jays then not getting a protected pick...we won't sign a big free agent anyway.

With mets playing brewers, doesn't this guarantee the worst we can finish is 10th...one of those guys wins tomorrow and if we win then were still good???? What am I missing?

I don't know what to cheer for, tank nation, or eliminate the rays. I'd love to watch the rays get eliminated.

Come on guys, we upgrade JP to an actual major league catcher and we are a whole new team...I'm waiting for the catcher spot to be decided before I predict anything next year. It is beyond belief how bad he is at everything baseball related. I'm wondering if it's mathematically possible to have his OBP drop below .200 cause that would be epic.

Is no news bad news or good news? I can just see that he has lost his vision in the eye and his career is over...that would be typical jays. Only thing that surprises me is we didn't sign him the day before for 5 years. -
I hope the rays don't get in, every cent counts for them and a playoff run can add millions which only helps them with payroll.

Gose will play nearly every day as a 4th out fielder on this tem due to the inevitable injuries to Bautista and melky. Even Rasmus will miss time. I bet Gose plays 120+ games as the 4th outfielder.

One thing to note is how our defence has improved with the youngsters playing, which has caused our pitching to improve. If we can upgrade defensively this off season, mainly behind the plate, we might not even need a drastic over haul of the pitching staff. Ps I actually watched last night and saw JP try to block a ball, he looked like an 11 year old in little league...and he tried throwing a guy out at 2nd on a steal (at least not from his knees) and he looked like a 7 year old. I have no doubt that I could do a better job throwing to 2nd and I'm in my mid thirties. I know my arm is better then his.

Next year I'm cheering for tank nation on April 1st because as soon as I really got into it and really wanted these f***ers to lose they started winning. Going for first pick next season.

I was a teenager watching Robbie Alomar, the guy was a f***ing defensive genius. Haven't seen a second basemen even close since. He had range and was silky smooth, even his relays home were perfect without any wasted movement or time. If we could throw him on this team in his prime there wouldn't need to be another addition, I could even live with JP behind the plate. As for lawrie, he so much easier to put up with when he is good! Please keep it up next year... -
I wish they kept wang, he is almost a guaranteed loss at this point...I guess alex isn't on board with tank nation after all.

We should let dickey rest his shoulder and call up Rickey. Maybe we can trade Buerhle away before aug 31 as well, though I'm starting to think he might be a nice low rotation option next year. Let Reyes rest his legs for next year and see what goins has got. Keep throwing JP out there and we are golden.
