  1. If you aren't caught, you're doing it correctly
  2. Donaldson is the linchpin. If he resigns, then I suspect they will try to add older MLB players (on short contracts) ala WS winning RedSox team through free agency and trades. If no Donaldson deal goes through, then Liriano type deals and baseball trades of high minor/0-6 players to try and coincide with Vladdy and Bo's arrivals
  3. Whatever happened to IP bans?
  4. Sorry...been away for a while... is Cleveland steamer Gary?
  5. Tuned in just in time to see Smoak go deep How did Rowley and Mayza look? Rowley's line suggests that he "gutted out" five innings, but curious about his performance.
  6. Lol. That'll fix everything that ails you!
  7. Dude was Dfa'd today. Have a heart dude.
  8. I think the Pirates broadcast crew is in love... with the military service and the pitch location. He's looked great. The two hard hit balls were both way out of the strike zone, so could be considered "unlucky". Great movement on his off speed stuff. He's almost working Buerle-fast, so as a fan, I love him
  9. Anybody heard if Estrada has cleared waivers?
  10. You mean the emotion and enthusiasm that causes him to constantly trip over his own tongue as well as calling players by the wrong names? Yeah -- can't enjoy a game without that...
  11. Hey all, just thought I'd throw this out there. After the recent "article" from Jays Journal about Nate "Nolan Ryan" Pearson, I sent an email to BlueJaysAggregator.com explaining that while I loved their site, Jays Journal really needed to be dropped. I mentioned that I understood that while BJAgg lived by page hits, JJ was really letting the quality side of things down. I asked if there was a way to customize the sites listed. In all honesty, I expected an email saying "thanks for you input, we will take it under advisement", but instead the sites operator (George) sent me a long email back thanking me and explaining in full detail that he makes no money from any of the four Agg sites, so is not overly concerned with page hits. He mentioned that he gets most complaints about 1) Steve Simmons, 2) Rosie Dimanno and 3) Fansided (Jays Journal Site Owner). I found this particularly hilarious. Anyway he said that a customizable site is in the works but is still a year away. He then blew my mind by providing me with instructions on how to rewrite the sites address to remove unwanted content! The regular address is http://bluejaysaggr.com. To remove JJ, the sites address is rewritten as http://bluejaysaggr.com/?mute_src=jays-journal. He also mentioned that if you want to remove more site, you can use a comma and add whatever site you'd like. As I'm sure many of you use BJAgg as much as me, I thought I'd send some good word of mouth advertising to his prime audience.
  12. Only the casuals like Buck and Pat cause they're strong and play the game the right way...
  13. On the bright side, they're all solo shots
  14. Buck and pat can't hold Shulman's jock. I would give my left leg to have Shulman for all 162. I have MLB.tv and whenever Shulman isn't calling the game, I will watch the other teams feed (unless it's the ChiSox...ugh)
  15. Is there any chance Borucki has earned himself a September start (or sooner) with last nights outing? Dude is crushing AA.
  16. Don't know if this was posted, but I thought it was worth a look. I was just beginning a love affair with the Jays (85 East Champs), soon followed by my first real crushing collapse (f$!#* Tigers!!) I used to love seeing Cardinals highlights on George Michael's Sports Machine and listening to Tom and Jerry on the radio. I found out about the Carter/Alomar trade the next morning while walking past a Toronto Sun box! http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/20163577/dear-1987-not-going-believe-happened-baseball He's right though... Barfield through Bautista it hasn't changed much except for some added cynicism.
  17. 9 up 9 down for trade bait. We just added a + to the deal
  18. This whole rebuild thing keeps pulling me in different directions, but as a 44 year leafs fan (ugh), if done right, a rebuild doesn't have to be a negative thing. If (and a big if) they sold JD, Osuna, Stroman, and the expiring contracts, you would hopefully be looking at multiple blue chip, top of the line prospect/3-6 talents suddenly added to the MLB/AAA teams. You would have the "faces" of Tulo, Travis, Alford, Sanchez to appease the casuals along with any new talent. And the best bit is, that just down the Qew you would have the blue chippers getting primed for the big club. To use the leafs reference again, I would bet that the Marlies popularity is at an all time high right now with the harcores and even some casual fans, because of proximity and talent. And you still have Vladdy and Bo coming! I guess, in a perfect scenario, the MLB team would suffer limited down time before they were competitive again. But then again, you could do a quick turnaround with some luck and the current roster...
  19. Can anyone help out... http://www.espn.com/blog/keith-law/insider/post?id=7372 Thanks
  20. Right now, between Cueto, Gray and Happ, I think we're looking at a pretty good haul ourselves. Anybody got the Astros number?
  21. As per MLBTR, Cubs get Quintana. Does this help set the price for Happ and to a lesser extent, Estrada and Liriano. One of the top SP targets off the market. Good for business https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/07/cubs-acquire-jose-quintana.html
  22. So...we signed the only pitcher listed in the top 25... what's Pardinho's ceiling?
  23. Not sure if this has been posted, but it may be of interest... http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/19668967/eric-pardinho-brazil-first-million-dollar-arm
  24. Now Howell lol batting practice for the yanks... double ugh
