    Just a thought. With the value of young pitchers these days, isn't it better to have a farm system stalked with them? As opposed to stocked with position players? Or even a balanced system? A top arm seems to carry the craziest value.

    If you fashion yourself language police on every message board, or social media platform you may post on, you are in for one serious never ending headache.

    I think you need to do a bunch ofdifferent polls. One for each spot on the ranking list.One and two is a lock. Stroman or Sanchez. Take a poll with just them two, to settle out the 1st two rankings. Then do another poll, leaving them two players off, to fill maybe the next 4 slots..4 highest vote getters. Then do another poll....leaving the 4 highest vote getters off, to get the next 4 or 5 spots picked.... And repeat... It gets fun when you get to the 20 to 25 poll... Selecting amongst 15 names you never heard of.

    People on this site should apply. The Hurl for example should apply.... include all dissenting views from past blue jays transactions.... online scouting experience, ect. I don't think having a differing opinion would disqualify anyone.

    If I'm Detroit I'm looking at Toronto and giving up a bit of starting pitching. I'd be looking at getting Bautista.

    I really think starting pitching has a chance to be a lot better this year, without doing anything.... There are just so many wildcards right now, from Drabek to DMac and Stroman to Hutch, that I just think there is enough of a chance that some of these guys hit.

    Has a city owned another city like Boston has Toronto this year? The leafs finally make the playoffs after years of disaster and for a few minutes looked like they could make a little run..... then the biggest collapse I have ever seen occured and Boston embarrassed TO.... humiliated them. But that was ok... because the Jays were about to give John Farrell some serious payback.... Could the script have played out any worse? But wait.... what's this? There is hope the Raptors!!! On the same night the Sox complete their dominance over Toronto... the Raptors easily beat the Celtics. Awesome...... Except until next Spring when the Raps stagger into the playoffs and get absolutely humiliated by the Heat. Meanwhile, the Celtics tanking turns out to be a great move for the franchise.... as they end up with the number 1 pick overall..... and take Andrew Wiggins........ THE ONLY star that ever wanted to be picked by Toronto.

    Actually, I didn't think he took up any of the baseline at all. He was in his path... but that wasn't the baseline. I really don't know enough about the rule to be able to say for sure if that was the right call or not... seems a bit subjective.. So I guess it's the right call.

    If I were the Tigers I would be dangling Max Scherzer in front of the Jays. Package him with Prince Fielder, to get rid of what is going to be a disastrous contract in about a year. Get 3 bullpen pieces back, Bautista and maybe a prospect like Stroman. Then the tigers have the option of going after a real 3rd baseman.
