As bad as that turned out... I don't see how EE would have gotten as much rope as he did with Napoli around. I think EE would have been thrown to the curb.
I think you should move to number 3 in a few days. The number 2 prospect is whoever doesn't get number 1 between Sanchez and Stroman. Number 3 is where the fun begins.
Are you sure it is? I'm not set on it... I'm more just throwing it out there. There is an insane premium on young quality pitching.... even old quality pitching. To me if you could be constantly graduating young pitchers.... like Tampa, you can use your graduates to bring in guys like a Will Myers.
I just feel like at any point you can cash in pitching for position players.
No disrespect taken. I have none. All anecdotal of what I have been observing in the last few years. I could be completely wrong... and probably am.
I think you're better off have all pitching prospects. You can always trade pitching for legitimate position players... Much harder the other way around. I'm beginning to think, that your better off having your entire top 10 prospects be solid starting pitching prospects, then any kind of a balance.
Why would you fire a guy that built one of the best farm systems in baseball.... Twice? He's made some mistakes for sure... I'm sure he'd take moves back if he could.
Again... Here we go with the fans that think that these options exist like the baseball world is like a giant supermarket.... Where you can just trade a guy like Sanchez for a major pitching upgrade. That option almost doesn't exist... and if it does you won't get a guy with half the ceiling of Sanchez... You d get a solid number 4... Maybe fringe 3 starter.... f*** that.
I just wanted to vote the "Can Ryan Goins stick" thread, the thread of the year,
Also, I thought the blog should have been called.... Can Ryan Goins stick?.... Maybe someday we can have the "Can Ryan Goins stick podcast".
