  1. Hey... It happened. Wish it didn't but it did.
  2. No. You'll be miserable for life. Live today as a championship is all but guaranteed. Make fun of other fan bases and wollow in their misery. Sure it will make September's inevitable collapse that much more painful. But in the moment, this moment, it is so much fun.
  3. Well my mother always taught me to always listen to Boston media when the Sox are doing awful. Man is it hilarious.
  4. Listen we're Jays fans you got to take the small victories while you can. The best part about slaughtering the Sox this weekend is listening to the postmortem tomorrow. WEEI Boston is a great pace to start. http://www.weei.com/ You can also find it on tunein. It will be a whole morning (or day) of absolutely shredding John Farrell and the Red Sox. I will be linking some of the better freak outs I hear throughout the day.
  5. Any word on Max Pentecost? Is he dead? Throwing? Or what.
  6. Here's a question. Would anyone trade Devon Travis for Brett Lawrie straight up? I wouldn't but I want to be sure I'm right. It would be funny though to basically insert Gose into the Donaldson trade to make it look that much worst.
  7. I thought this was kind of a funny article on the bluejays 22nd round pick. http://www.d1baseball.com/columns/by-any-means-necessary-buffalos-nick-sinay/
  8. I don't think that's very representative though, Davis has made a lot of changes. Try using data from all the same guys just using the numbers from June 8th/2015 to June 8th/2015.
  9. Here's a question. A hypothetical. Let's say after Davis's big games yesturday, he was suddenly eligible for the draft. I guess he's about a year younger then a college senior or around the same age Stroman was when he got drafted. Where do you think he goes in the draft? I ask this, because after how far he has fallen, even though it was one huge game, it feels like we got a free new prospect.
  10. Funny thing was, JPA could always get himself into 2-0, 3-1 counts.
  11. Where is Joe Siddall's son expected to go? I wonder if the jays take him as kind of a homer pick.
  12. I'm sure there is. Then again, Ive looked at TB's offense over the years and wondered how they managed to win games. Pitching obviously, but great D as well.
  13. I don't think we are dying to get rid of Dickey are we? Also, Alford is going to be good. Graveman and Nolan are kinda... below average? The SS is highly thought of I guess.
  14. I would agree... But we kind of just did that to Oakland.
  15. Ok. Correct. I was being flippant. But still. I think you greatly underestimate the value of great defense.
  16. I think aiming to put a team together where you attempt to stay at the plate for infinity, is a bit ridiculous. Goins has played in more games then he hasn't this year and despite that the Jays have put up more offense then most any other team.
  17. Being one of the best defenders in the league is a thing. So you're wrong
  18. If he would have touched the runner with his foot would be have been out. I think no, but not 100% sure.
  19. Who is that old guy that pitched for Dunedin today? That's a good line, 11ks in 7 innings.
  20. It's weird. I just expect the Jays to win now.... every game. As oppose to finding away to give the game away.
  21. I get what you are saying. But there is something I think is wrong with that analysis, that I can't put my finger on. When you say you can only make 3 positive contributions per inning as oppose to offense where you can potentially make infinite contributions... isn't another way of saying that (and making the 3 outs on defense sound more important) that by making those 3 outs you are potentially stopping an infinite offense?
  22. Sure you do. The same as if you afford Batista's sub bar right field defense for his great offense. It's about trade offs. Goins you trade his s***** bat for his great defense, with the assumption, you can still put enough runs on the board to beat your opponent. Mind you, with Goins it only makes a bench player. But his D is so good I believe he deserves a spot on the team... and as long as the rest of the lineup is good, I have no problem seeing him in there.
  23. I follow the real minds in the game. Guys like Ron Washington or Hawk Harrelson.
  24. His bat belongs in AA. His glove is one of the best in the Majors. With a team that can afford a bad bat, it's a perfect fit.
