I don't like to think of it in terms of ....we have to win so many games, out of so many games to have a chance. All I know is that if we all 5 games back by July 1.... Reyes comes back, maybe Stroman is ready to contribute..... Maybe DMac can contribute.... Maybe Romero can regain form....ect,ect.... We got a good shot. The Red Sox are not winning 92 games.... I don't think the Yankees or O's are either.

At first I thought it was really bad that the runners kept going.... I thought the ball fell right beside the pitcher... but it traveled way down in the right field corner. It all happens so quick, I can see why it happened.

How many people over 27 have an OBP over .460 in AAA...... 30? 40?

Isn't a career AAAA defined as a player who couldn't hit in the major leagues, but can hit in AAA. How could anyone definitively say Negrych can't hit in the majors, if he never had the opportunity?

Blue Jays say he could be released from hospital as early as today..... which mean he will probably be in the hospital till June.

We're 8.5 games back... Which is better then what I hoped for after Saturday. I was hoping to be 5 back by end of June, then I thought we had a chance when Reyes came back.

I have a question... again for the guys more knowledgeable then I. Why can't Aaron Sanchez come up to Toronto and take Happ's spot? I am not advocating it. I am just wondering why we would expect such a move to naturally fail. I can understand why a hot hitter in A ball would fail miserably in the majors against great pitching.... But I can't see why a mid 90's fastball and a great changeup and curveball don't play well, whether it comes from a 20 year old or a 30 year old. He goes 5 innings... but so did Happ. Anyway... just curious what the experts had to say.

Man... baseball can be humbling... 3 days ago... in my mind. 1) Thole had to be called up and at least split games with Arencebia. 2) Mister had to go and Negrych called up 3) DeRossa had to be DFA'd, because he had no role on this team. 4) Colby to be traded and Gose called up ... and since then.. I think Derossa has been hero in 2 of the last 3 games..... Mister comes up with a huge bomb and a bunch of decent AB's as well as solid defense. JPA came up huge with the biggest hit of his career..... and Colby hits two very, very timely and important bombs. humbling indeed -

I was considering signing up as eastcoastjaysfan... Just to see if it would be taken from me... But I just did this on a whim.. I didn't think the board would last more the a day, tell you the truth. Either way... Gets a little annoying, when every 3rd post is someone sooking about banning some one. In a way it's almost worst then trolling. As for my name... It shouldn't mater what it is. Mods shouldn't be deleting threads and handing out warnings, just so they can go on a power trip.

There are a lot of posters (and mods) that are extremely horny to ban someone. I got warned for posting a video of a bear racing a monkey on a bike, on the non baseball forum.

I just want to grind into 5 or 6 games back before the end of June. Big opportunities the next week. Rays bullpen is spent. The Red Sox top two closing options just went down. Cross your fingers!!

It seems like there are a lot of moving parts to his swing.... Never really seems to drive the ball... Almost like he his getting under it a bit to much.
