  1. You pretty much have to try in order to be this ignorant.
  2. He threw two hitless innings on Thursday. There goes the name theory. Schwimer beats Thad. AA must not like his ERA of 0, because in this case it comes with 5 walks in 5 innings.
  3. AA must have liked his name. Hard to blame him, it's pretty cool.
  4. You can't even analyze JP anymore. He's a troll and there's no reason to think otherwise.
  5. I'm calling BS here. I remember being torn apart when I said Hutchison was rushed, hence the famous "clearly rushed" saying. There was more pessimism around Alvarez however. The truth is we used to trust our GM and thought he had a pretty good gauge as to when a player is ready. Now we can't help but laugh at any move he makes. We're not too far from the end.
  6. I posted a fangraphs article two or three days ago that said Nolin isn't ready and he couldn't find his release point. Two or three days later, the inevitable happens. I hate you Alex.
  7. Well that would be incredibly stupid. Carlos Correa was a legitimate elite SS prospect who happened to be ranked 5/6/7. Colin Moran makes good contact, but has marginal power and let's not forget he may or may not have to move to 1st. He was a middle of the 1st round talent up until ..... God knows. Correa and McCullers is a haul. Moran and anyone ranked 15 and beyond while having the 1st overall pick may not look any better than what the Jays pick up.
  8. Fangraphs article on Sean Nolin, http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/sean-nolin-next-blue-jays-savior/ I'm sure the Jays scouts are telling Alex he's ready and his command looks great.
  9. Colon spoke through a translator last night. He's been in the big leagues for 16 years.

What a stubborn coach Roy is going to be. However he'll bring energy to a dying fan base.
  11. Unfortunately I went through great efforts to defend and support the great Eric Arce
  12. Lack of patience/competence. He couldn't see through his drafts, which to be fair only ended up turning a couple of position players.
  13. Lester 6IP 7H 5ER 3BB 2K Why can't we face this guy?
  14. He absolutely did, lol Brunt looked at him like he was crazy.
  15. Good bat speed, not great and can hit both ways. His bat is his best tool. Weak arm, he's a 2B all the way.
  16. It's not about hating Yan Gomes, it's about looking at his swing and realizing how many holes he has. Pitchers will face him for the second time and I'm willing to bet he goes from hero to below replacement level play. Hey wait, that's what he did here. I'll never forget Bob McCown calling Yan Gomes the jays first baseman of the future. Thought his bat would be deadly.. Hah
  17. Well yeah there's a reason I didn't include pitching, but it's hard to think Davis isn't real. He's a Dan Uggla-Marlins bat.
  18. It's pretty remarkable that the Orioles have managed to put together a lineup of, Machado .328/.362 Davis .313/.406 Jones .322/.358 McLouth .277/.365 - kill me Markakis .291/.340 Wieters .230/.304 Hardy .235/.269 One year ago I thought they'd win 60 games. Now their lineup looks like the envy of the AL East.
  19. Lol I love Gose. The guy wants to be involved in every play.
  20. No, but he doesn't need to. That Jonas Valanciunas pick was laughed at and criticized beyond belief. Here he is two years later and Bryan can say he was able to have the foresight to take the best player rather than make the flashy pick to save his job, which he ended up keeping regardless. Let's not underestimate what the NBA draft means to basketball. It defines you as a GM. Bryan hasn't messed up a pick if you think rationally.
  21. Alright well he was 4th in scoring among SG. I know that's a volatile number and his efficiency is horrific (his fg% was 8th among SGs), but he was a 9th overall pick that was about as raw you could find.
  22. This is full of hyperbole. JO was acquired at a time when we HAD a good team. Not an awful 73 win squad that was going to be transformed in one off season. Kyle Lowry had some of the best advanced numbers in the league both last year and the year he was acquired. Not to mention he's probably got the best PG contract in basketball. Steve Nash/Landry Fields panic move is right up there with the worst moves ever made by a manager. However it was one move. Drafted a total bust at #1? You didn't follow that draft apparently. DD is a top 10 SG that was drafted 9th overall. Sounds like good development to me. Rudy Gay was acquired because the 3 position is so high in demand and selling high on Ed Davis was the right thing to do. I'm giving Rudy next year, not 30 games. Your TRoss criticism is absurd. Amir isn't supposed to be a top 10 PF, what are you talking about lol.
  23. The only way to top this season off as one of the biggest off season blunders of all time would be for everyone involved to get another year.
  24. "I thank Jeffrey Loria every day I wake up" - Beeston He must be so heartbroken to see that Loria's management group wasn't actually as incompetent as he believed.
  25. Who's going to fire him? Beeston is an absolute idiot who has zero recognition for what's going on. He's probably sitting in his suite talking about how Dickey looks like he's finally come around.
