    Even though this is probably the most likely reason, I wouldn't rule out Alex thinking Bickford doesn't have a spot on the depth chart.

    Yeah not until a SMART GM get a hold of Alex at the deadline and starts telling him some tale about teams that make the playoffs despite being out at the deadline. Alex will then do what we all expect and trade Sanchez for Beltran.

    How don't you? It's clear at this point that he's a streaky hitter that when hot, can completely rake. On the contrary, he can be about as ineffective at the plate as anybody when he's out of sync. Not the guy I want on a longterm deal.

    Alex is just waiting on the next Jose and Edwin. He's shortened his list down to two candidates. Bonifacio and Rajai. I mean, that's how you develop hitters right?

    I understand your point very well, it just doesn't really make sense. We're talking about 9 rounds worth of hitters and we don't think ANY of them are going to amount to anything? Time to hire new scouts.

    Oh I'm not going to wrong them for taking BPA, because clearly they did with two more arms. I just can't say I'm OKAY with it, we all know it only gets worse post draft day.
