  1. If Estrada dominates today and Navarro contributes at all with the bat... I think you see him Friday night.
  2. Decent complementary piece. He's just been struggling badly.
  3. We have to get SOMETHING out of Revere today. Come on man.
  4. So refreshing to see a pitcher pound the strike zone after yesterday's debacle.
  5. Whatever it takes today. If Price needs to pitch to get Hosmer/Moose/Gordon etc. out in a big situation.. well then then throw him out there. Absolutely everyone should be ready to go today.
  6. So ready for this game. We got this fella's. All hands on deck.
  7. He hit much better in the 2nd half and the defensive metrics don't hate him. Martin has to be hurt or just plain exhausted. He is making stupid defensive mistakes and has barely put any good swings on the ball.
  8. Martin has been a complete flop this postseason. If Navarro has a good game today it would be tempting to play him in game 6. Obviously he was huge for us during the regular season.. but he's been a liability lately.
  9. Man, losing Cecil has been so huge. Guy was basically a lock for 1-2 shutout innings every outing at this point. Such a huge loss.
  10. ? I was making a general statement about how many people have completely jumped off the bandwagon. Every single person in my office that claims to be a hardcore Jays fan is already accepting defeat. Ticket prices are a reflection of that.
  11. This whole thing with Loup is so frustrating. If his family issues are this serious he should not have been kept on the roster. Having Hutch for a blowout game like last night would've been huge.
  12. Crowd noise/pressure/expectations. People can harp on and on about the quantitative aspects of the game.. but these guys are still human. The crowd played a massive role in game 3 when Cueto melted down. He let his emotions get the best of him. We've been the same way on the defensive side (i.e. Joey trying to be a hero in the first inning the other day, Goins trying to cover 50 meters to get the pop fly in game 2). Stop trying to be a hero and play fundamental baseball.
  13. It's pointless to predict the rotation. There is probably like a 90% chance Alex fills out the 2-4 spots via trades involving Revere, Travis/Goins, whatever prospects we have left. They aren't going to take on massive contracts in the rotation when Bats/Edwin are due up the next year.
  14. If we make a comeback... WS tickets are going to be like 5X face value and all the bandwagoners will still be claiming that they believed in this team the whole time. Support your team until the end. Pathetic.
  15. It's 100% on the starting pitching. I'm still confident the bats will show up... but their approach seems to switch instantly to swinging for the fences as soon as they get down early. We desperately need to shut them out early in the game. No stupid defensive mistakes, no walks... also for the love of god DO NOT THROW ESCOBAR A STRIKE.
  16. Have fun at the game!
