  1. I get that you have to send a message to him.. but he's been heating up lately.
  2. Angels/O's are on MLB Network if anyone wants to kill 30 mins
  3. Well it's undeniable how much he's improved the team.
  4. This is why I love the Raptors. Organic growth FTW.
  5. Prado makes no sense with Lawrie due back soon. I also wouldn't want to commit 22M to a guy who appears to be on a serious decline. All we really needed was a mid-rotation starter. Sucks it didn't work out but it's time to move on.
  6. Everyone will be happy again after the Jays light up this garbage team.
  7. What did you guys f***ing want them to do? Trade Sanchez or Norris? We don't have a ton of prospects in the upper levels that would fetch a lot of interest... Most of our good prospects are in A ball and it makes no sense to trade them now when their values will likely increase exponentially over the next few years. You can't just blindly criticize them for not making a move without giving actual suggestions. WTF did Rogers do wrong in this situation? They've committed enough money to field a winning club. If the prices were too high, they were too high. I'm actually quite relieved we didn't sell the farm for a rental.
  8. AA has called up Stroman & Sanchez who have both given the team a huge boost. He acquired Francisco earlier in teh year who looks to be a 2.5-3 WAR player. Reimold and Valencia are also excellent bench pieces. He made tweaks throughout the year that have been effective. You don't have to make a move on deadline day just for the sake of making a move.
  9. "Some other prospects" List them please.
  10. Provide us with several trade suggestions that you realistically think we could've pulled off please. Again, AA has improved the roster (Kratz notwithstanding) over the last few weeks.
  11. We're not going to make a move. I'm not even that angry tbh. We're playing really well and we have three above average players due back quite soon. Would've been nice to add some pitching depth but it's not the end of the world. Over the last month + the rotation has stabilized with teh addition of Stroman, the pen is deeper with Sanchez in the mix and Cecil healthy, and the bench is vastly improved with Reimold and Valencia.
  12. Lackey is a proven above average starter who will be making peanuts next year Joe Kelly has extremely average peripherals which will likely only get worse in the AL East Craig is far from a sure thing. Not exactly sure how Boston destroyed the Cards here.
  13. Anyways, pretty amazing that a team can go from 69 wins -> 97 wins -> ~70 wins in just three years.
  14. Interesting theory. Do remember though that this is a team that lowballed the s*** out of him very recently with an extension offer. How much do they actually value him? No guarantee at all that he's back. Someone will offer him 6+ years.
  15. It'll be 2/3 years now that they'll have been a ~70 win team. Almost their entire rotation will be gone, Uehara will likely walk. It's going to be tough to rebuild this thing.
  16. You think? What is their rotation going to look like?
  17. They must have plans to break the bank in FA next offseason if they made this trade. Makes no sense to take back just one year of Cespedes otherwise if there aren't more corresponding moves. The current roster just isn't good enough.
  18. Kind of a weird return for the Sox, no?. Their window looks to be a few years away and there is basically zero chance they compete next year. There had to be a package out there with a few younger, more controllable pieces on the table for Lester.
  19. Mid-rotation starter (maybe a Wade Miley or Ian Kennedy type?) and a power pen arm with strikeout stuff (couple vets like Oliver Perez or Glen Perkins wouldn't cost a ton) would be great. I don't think this rotation holds up into late September. One of Hutch/Happ will need to be replaced and Buehrle is fading quickly. Desperately need one more starter.
