  1. I think we gotta go for this. We don't lose a pick and we don't trade a player to get a guy who if he succeeds will be a top tier pitcher I expect almost all 30 teams to throw their hat in the barrel
  2. The man just said that it's the little things like the fans sticking with him during the down months that made him want to stay here. Love this guy!!!
  3. God I hope he retires here, whether it's this year or whenever. I wasn't really watching the Jays when Delgado was here, so he was really the best hitter I have ever seen in a Jays uniform (and according to Fangraphs the best position player ever). I wasn't sure how, after the Doc left, how long it would take for us to get a franchise player, someone so recognized in Baseball and representing the team and the city on the grand stage. In those dark years Pre-2014 he (and Edwin) was the glimmer of positivity we had. Constantly up in the chart for homers, breaking All-Star records, and his love for the city was public knowledge. Bautista will always be a legend for me, and while I think he won't make it into the HoF, I hope he gets put up there in the Level of Excellence sooner rather than later. Thanks for everything Jose! Your 7th inning homer in the ALCS will forever be the single greatest sporting moment I have ever witnessed as a fan
  4. Very very nice! I love Estrada, I hope an agreement can be struck soon!!!!
  5. They offered the same contract Edwin signed with Cleveland early in the offseason with the intention of retaining him. They also negotiated and signed Bautista after he rejected his QO forgoing a possible draft pick. I think this FO will actually try to retain star players more than AA's regime
  6. Hahahaha, and wonderful timing for Apple too, less than a week until their keynote where they're going to unveil new devices! Talk about free PR. Since Baseball has recently been one of the better adopters of tech in sports, I fully expect Boston to only get a slap on the wrist for this, it would go against the commish's plans if he puts a ban of some electronics
  7. Nice job by Aoki! That's 2 with us now right?
  8. Heyooooo!!!
  9. I honestly thought I got banned for some reason lol glad to see the site back!
  10. Donaldson at SS? Gotta up that trade value!
  11. Play the percentages and the ball gets hit to where the SS would usually be standing Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Great swing by Rizzo
  12. What the hell was that. First Barney falls, then Bautista spikes the ball into the ground, then Goins and Smoak do exactly what you DONT want to do in a run down and just throw the ball back and forth without closing the runner down... what
  13. Yes, a person who could play middle infield but also play half decent corner-OF would be ideal
  14. No I was driving home so I heard it on the radio, couldn't post lol
  15. I'm not talking about a permanent replacement, but I don't think Tulo and Travis have both played 100 games together, and Tulo has been on the team since July 2015. That's scary. We need to plan as if we have to field 3 middle infield positions, because sure opening day next year we will have Tulo at short and Travis at 2B, but it's not far fetched to think that one of them won't be out by June. Having a 3rd guy floating around, with a utility Goins/Barney would be the best option IMO
  16. f that give me a middle infielder that's half decent. Both Travis and Tulo are made out of glass. At least the OF is a bit durable and we have some decent backup
  17. Hahahahahaha the fans will stop at nothing, there will always be something to complain about You know what, there are times where I think Bautista's eye is robotic, I say the MLB harvest his brain and use it for the robo-ump algorithm
  18. The only downside to robo umps is no more Gibby ejections I support robo umps only AFTER Gibby retires
  19. Would you look at that! The Gibby ejection comes clutch
