Yeah the press made it sound like this was somehow Verlander's fault. 6 innings these days is pretty f***ing deep for a starter in the postseason and he walked none. Astros hitting kinda let them down, but I give Dodgers credit for pitching their ass off, just gotta hand it to them

Yeah basically. They need to cut costs and rebuild, the pitching and farm are s*** and I think they both lost money and are in debt, plus I think Jeter and Co were scrambling to have enough money for a bid. I can see them going into Rays mode for a few years until they get their s*** together. As for Stanton, I don't think anyone will give them anything really good unless they eat a large amount of that huge contract. If money is such an issue where they need most of it off their tab, I doubt anyone will give them much (or as much as people would expect) for Stanton. It will be an interesting off season
