  1. So what's the reason Bautista or Janssen shouldn't have spoken out? Keeping things classy or in-house is a soft excuse to not speak out. The only people I've said spew lies are Alex and Beeston. Bautista and Janssen's comments were opinions. Who's to say that Bautista wouldn't have wanted Smyly ++ instead of David Price? Who's to say that Janssen didn't want Allen Craig and Joe Kelly for Lackey? Both deals would've significantly helped the Jays going forward if similar deals were made. It wasn't childish at all. The media obviously asked both players their opinions and they gave them.
  2. Must've missed those. Sadly, you weren't around then to confirm or validate your opinion like everyone else on here could. And really how do you expect a mid-market organization to compete if they don't operate efficiently by moving expensive has-beens that you've shown yourself to love? So then Bautista and Janssen clearly not under any Government intervention were free to speak their minds. I'm baffled why you take ownership of others feelings of expression (Bautista & Janssen) or action (me at work). You have no connection to any of us, yet get upset. If you're a Manager or CEO or whatever you claim to be, and are upset by employees that underperform or rebel, then I understand. If it's something other than that worry about yourself.
  3. I don't watch enough post game interviews to know the opinions of players. But I am for freedom of speech if the media asks it. Nope. I'm still glad he spoke up.
  4. He wasn't? How so? Because I support freedom of speech, even if it isn't classy or even if it offends the masses.
  5. Apparently it should be behind closed doors to not expose the failures for what they are. Respect Management/your employer.....hahahahahaha Rogers has an image to uphold and the employees should all be saying "yes" or be classy as to not tarnish the company name......f*** off.
  6. I haven't listened to the FO since the Dickey trade. It's a mirage they've tried to spin. Agreed. The team was a lost cause from before the season started.
  7. You're right, and if Bautista and Janssen wanna play for a winner they should be either walking in those doors asking for trades, or going to the media. There's no chance the Jays make the playoffs going forward operating how they have the past 2 years.
  8. They could've said that. But then why should the fans/public even listen to what the FO or players say anymore? The team was clearly not a bona fide playoff team when they were scraping by at their best as the 2nd WC team. Any fluctuations from fielding a full healthy team (unrealistic) and the team wasn't making the playoffs. And they didn't.
  9. But the people running the team, who the players would be airing their complaints to internally opposed to the media, are the same people who ran the team off the rails in Nov/Dec 2012. So why show respect to the people who are trying to hide the fact they f***ed up and continue to bury the team due to incompetence. Sorry, just because Paul Beeston and Alex are "Management" doesn't mean they skate on being a couple of inept f***s and should be shielded by players from any scathing media or public backlash.
  10. You can only motivate yourself so much and then skill rears its ugly head. And unfortunately in July/August the Jays were trotting out a AAA lineup.
  11. Explain who it is I should be more motivated to work for? Inmates-? Maybe a little, respect is mutual Managers-? I do as I'm asked. Peers-? They're assigned to do tasks as well Myself-? The less stressed/worked I am, the better for me!!! The Public-? I'm doing my tasks I'm assigned.
  12. Seeing as the Yankees run a tight ship of professionalism why didn't they make the playoffs? skill, or lack thereof.
  13. Why are you so against employees airing clubhouse/personal gripes to the media? It's like a zit that needed to be popped. No one was talking about it, everyone knows the Jays were s*** or the zit was there, it just finally got said from two tenured players. And I like it.
  14. Look at your behaviour on here towards.....um everyone and tell me your mouth doesn't taste like a big ol' shitburger after "I try to make everyone better" garbage. That's your opinion. And you and I have no connection on my productivity so I'm not sure why you should care. Where have I said I've given up? I said "I do what I have to do", two completely different things. Because it takes riotous behaviour where inmates die or staff are severely injured to draw media attention. Again, you have zero insight into the Correctional environment so please shut the f*** up about it. You obviously listened to the interview and heard we do strip searches. But you should listen a little closer where the Union President said we have limits to how far we can go. The Ombudsman instructed all Correctional Officers to be, "hands off". So when this Gov't goof directs me to not touch an inmate, I do so (less work). And instead of taking a risk in losing my job, "I don't touch" them. If the inmate has packed his ass with 5 or 6 kinder eggs, and what I see on the outside is their pink rosebud, that's as far as it goes. I'm not fist deep trying to prevent some junkie from trying to smuggle heroin, crack or weed in. And if it gets to units, I let the guys enjoy their stash (hands off). The Ombudsman and his cronies wanna put limitations on Correctional Officers. Fine I'm hands off and let the body count rise from OD. And it works for me. Because he entertains me. And me being super productive and always busy opposed to doing what I'm asked doesn't help anyone worth helping. I guess it's greed I want what I want for what I want to do and I care very little about helping or bettering others.....sound about right? There's no room for advancement, so why be an achiever? Corrections is rocketing towards a Social Worker/Medical environment. And I have zero interest in getting degrees in either field to advance. Management's go to line "It's management's right to manage." Meaning....do as your told. Which I do. Unfortunately it is their right to manage. So when I'm done my tasks, manage me. I don't have any close friends that come on this forum.
  15. There's teams every year that play hot for particular stretches and just don't have the guns to get to the end. I called both years of non-playoffs when everyone was creaming themselves over the Marlins & Dickey trades. Look at the Brewers....their team wasn't projected to do s*** and they were right there for a good chunk of the year.
  16. Odd that Beeston, an Executive/boss doesn't get raked over the coals for stating untruths about the direction of the Jays. But its not okay for Bautista or Janssen to express their unhappiness with what they're bosses are doing, knowing the Jays weren't even close to contending on paper or the field.
  17. It's hilarious. You shouldn't care at all how much or hard people work. And those handful of links I provided show a common theme that yes the higher-ups in Corrections are f***-ups. And those printed words and interviews coming from voices higher up than mine on the Union side. Union Execs., Union Presidents, Health & Safety Reps frontline staff at different locations. Sorry man, Management and the Government isn't gonna hold me accountable for an inmate death if they're not giving me the tools and then try to lay blame because some junkie doesn't know what point he needed to take and not OD. If it's an Old tired tale, sounds like it's a very common long running theme for decades with thousands if not millions of people saying the same thing. Unfortunately it's true. Really I just want my money I'm entitled to and to be going home at the end of the day. Everything else that happens in between, I don't really care. I really don't care if inmates die, bang each other out, rape younger docile newbs, because it's gonna happen. I don't care if inmates are doing drugs while in custody, because its still gonna happen. I take specific directions from my Superiors with a grain of salt. Just get me through the day. You're missing the point. I don't care what happens to others. But I care deeply of what they think of me.
  18. Just trying to fit in. May as well call me the Goldilocks of Corrections. Not trying to be a Golden Boy, no point, no incentive. And not be the biggest fall-down, which isn't too hard. I couldn't look at myself in the mirror trying to milk an accommodation or being off on Long Term Disability. I have an image to maintain.
  19. The public doesn't give a s*** about the people in jail, inmates or Correctional Officers. And Managers & Suits are people who've either bag-licked themselves to where they are, or they've screwed up royally as a Correctional Officer, grieved their firing, got their job back and promoted to Manager, hidden from the front lines in a less hands-on role where they don't have the chance to f*** up more. It's a pretty fascinating environment when the politics are full-steam ahead. Sadly you have no clue how the system works.
  20. No mess at all. I intentionally do what I do. 12 years without any serious issues that were initiated by me. You must be thinking of someone else, because it wasn't me. Pardon?
  21. I'm confused who moogy believes I should do the best job for? If I listen to what management says, their main priority stressed is "Care". So if I do a phenomenal job "caring" for the inmates then the public hates me aside from their scumbag families. And if I do the best job I can for the public, then I'd technically be depriving the inmates of what they're entitled to. So I just rest in the middle.
  22. As for my job, I babysit low-lifes and I'm managed by people who put every special interest group they can think of ahead of an improved Correctional environment, so my motivation to do so much more is driven by what? As for "half-assing it", my assigned tasks are completed on a daily basis. Correct I try to get through my day without issues. I help people out all the time. Not sure where you got that from. I am literate.
  23. You keep hanging around message boards, and I'll keep doing what I'm doing.
  24. If I don't do things by the book, then I'm doing less work. If I don't wanna be a go-getter, I don't say I'm done my tasks find me something else to do.
