  1. time to take a break from the forum... too many morons
  2. I was ambivalent about AA. Wouldn't say hate, not even close. More than once I've stated a belief the Marlins and Dickey trades were the Beest's work. Actually Smokey got on my case for supporting AA last June when the Jays were floundering at/below .500 and I wrote AA put together a strong team that by RD should be leading the AL. But whatever. Make it personal if you want.
  3. December 2
  4. It's early. He's filling the roster holes nicely. Expecting a big move or two to better position the Jays for sustained success.
  5. He's got nothing left to prove in MiLB. Time for him to prove he belongs in the Show.
  6. Hopefully Cola.... there's redundancy here and he might actually return something useful
  7. Steamer projects him at 0.4 WAR. He's had more than a few seasons with negative WAR. He may or may not have gotten $3.9M as a FA.
  8. $3.9M is too much for a guy to be depth in Buffalo. This means Smoak, Collabello, and EE will share 1B/DH? I'd rather the Jays jettison one of them and get someone more versatile for the bench. Edit: like NJH's Johnson
  9. Ummmmm no it doesn't. Jays are pretty much the only team interested in his services. They will offer league min, or a bit more if some other team puts in a bid.
  10. OJ Simpson pled not guilty. So did Paul Bernardo.
  11. Yes seems odd. Good to very good D, but dat high K rate.
  12. Don't agree when it comes to the crapshoot that is baseball prospects. Grant can attest to the crapshoot nature.... Brett Wallace, Zach Stewart The crapshoot nature of ranking prospects means closing participation to a select few is not in the admin's interest.
  13. Ridiculous post. Jays have plenty of info on Saunders and his health. You..... have zero.
  14. Very good news
  15. what an excellent way to discourage new posters and posters in general admin, is this really what you want?
  16. did you have a heavenly vision? no one knows what price will be like at 35 and 36, not even david price. this is about risk.... the risk of a club paying $31M a year for an ineffective player
  17. i'd rather it be the red sox... they are f***ed now
  18. Kershaw and maybe a few others are
  19. The WWII 0's would f*** it up and i'm not spending the time to fix it by manipulation
  20. Chart below shows Williams outperforming Bonds up to age 35 when it becomes mixed. Note the three 0's for Williams during his prime, due to WWII. Williams is often called the best hitter ever, the career 0.482 OBP is testament to this. If WWII doesnt interrupt his career, and Bonds doesn't use PEDS, its not even a debate as to who is better. http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx9/dale_smith5/BondsvsWilliams_zpsneprgvmv.jpg
  21. Bonds in 1994 and 2004 http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx9/dale_smith5/1994_zpshi6bgwdf.jpg http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx9/dale_smith5/dt.common.streams.StreamServer_zpsvsilw9ro.jpg
  22. awesome news! cant wait for our righty loaded team to crush him at Fenway
  23. No, soft skills needed
  24. lol you *******
  25. Never had self righteous outrage. And you are right, I was wrong about Williams.
