  1. Berrios *should* rebound and recover some value next spring. Probably better to wait than move him now when his value is very low.
  2. 14 teams H2H dynasty 30 man rosters, 30 man farms Free for all on prospects, except new draftees and international signings (February draft is for these only)
  3. Your guess is as good as mine which deal turns out better. I'm on the fence.
  4. Skubal for: Package 1 - Woo, Wetherholt, Tong Package 2 - Hunter Brown, Max Clark, Sasaki Would you trade Skubal for either of those packages, and which package would you want back?
  5. Chances he signs with the Jays just went up. Jays were never gonna sign him to be the SS.
  6. Why do we need to include Nimmala??
  7. Would Miller for Berrios beat the Vernon Wells trade as best in BJ history? It's pretty close IMO
  8. 2/40 for a cripple is quite something
  9. This puts us past the Dodgers
  10. That's a lot of money for a setup man but Rogers has been damn good for quite some time
  11. We don't really care what the Dodgers do. In a short series even the Marlins could beat the Dodgers.
  12. Every year there is considerable churn in closers. Like half the guys that start out as a teams closer lose the job by mid season. Relievers are volatile. AA and the Braves are stupid.
  13. Nothing wrong with a closer by committee. Although Schneider tends to use his BP arms as set pieces.
  14. If Hoerner is actually available he'd be a fantastic addition. Allows Gimenez to sit against LHP.
  15. BA awards Popkins Coach of the Year
  16. Vientos 1B and Baty full time 3B for the Mets I guess..... unless they trade for Casas
  17. So ultimately the trade of Chris Sale to the Braves netted the Red Sox the Angels #25 prospect, a guy named Isaiah Jackson.
  18. Nah once Ohtani deal ends in 2033, none of the money counts against the cap. The value of the contract is getting counted (including deferrals) every year until 2033.
  19. What the article doesn't say is: Per the MLB Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), teams are required to place money owed for deferred salaries into an escrow account or a form of trust fund. So each year, the deferred money earned by Ohtani has to be transferred into an escrow account. The savings to the Dodgers from deferred money is relatively minor, and is essentially the interest earned until the date the money in the escrow account must be transferred to Ohtani.
  20. Not sure a high leverage reliever is high on the Jays priority list. Relievers are best acquired in season anyway given their volatility plus pitchers get injured at a crazy rate.
  21. How so? Are you sure you understand how deferrals work?
  22. Tigers are mid-market. Still would be quite risk averse and signing Skubal for 8 / $300 or whatever would give them pause. If a team like the Dodgers rich in prospects and young MLB will give up a haul for him, of course you avoid the high risk and make the move.
  23. Ah of course. Had Suarez on the brain, just read that the Red Sox have talked to him
  24. Absolutely not. Already got a similar player in Santander.
