  1. but did you regress the splits?
  2. Yep that's what I said, many moons ago
  3. The good news is if Clement struggles at the plate, a better bat is available in Schneids.
  4. Framber over Belly easy
  5. Bad time for this, but I was right. Now let's get Framber. I don't care about his rumoured attitude problem. He's an SP anyway, those guys are off in their own little world, not like the position guys. Spanky's a pitcher.
  6. Gonna be poetic when Glasnow, Snell, Ohtani are injured and out for season, and Sasaki continues to suck.
  7. Seems like it was a Mets and Dodgers bidding war I somehow doubt the Jays came close to the insane amounts they were offering
  8. Jays should sign Valdez. Ponce a swing man. Or maybe they just move Berrios to get under the highest tax threshold, and run with what they've got.
  9. Tucker to the Dodgers
  10. You mean Darvish. I remember some twat sports reporter in Virginia or someplace posting that we got him.
  11. Reds Designate Yosver Zulueta For Assignment Boss Atkins
  12. Gotta figure if Bo or Tucker get signed, someone is getting moved for a pen upgrade.
  13. Cubs are gonna be a force
  14. From Forbes: World Series Winner – Dodgers (36%) World Series Loser – Toronto Blue Jays (24%) League Championship Series Losers – Seattle Mariners, Milwaukee Brewers (24%) Division Series Losers – New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs (13%) Wild Card Series Losers – Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Guardians, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds (3%)
  15. Caissie, Cristian Hernandez, and Edgardo de Leon Thats cheap for Cabrera IMO Caissie certainly has potential but rocked a 28% K rate in the upper minors last year. That translates to like 35 to 40% in MLB
  16. Cubs have a pretty strong team, especially if they sign Bregman as rumoured, after trading for Cabrera.
  17. There's a very good probability the Jays miss the playoffs one of those 3 years. 3 guys could go down to TJS in the same year.
  18. You changed the goalposts. Eliminate deferrals and nothing changes. Ohtani signs with the Dodgers for $460M without deferrals. No change to luxury tax calcs.
  19. I think its fine. 2B - Clement, Giminez, Schneider SS - Giminez, Clement 3B - Okamoto, Clement, Barger With respect to SS, teams don't typically have more than 2 SS capable players on the roster. There's plenty of AAAA guys playable at SS that can be added to Buffalo. Those types of adds take place closer to ST.
  20. 36.9M is the Jays share as the WS runnup The playoff bonus pool is divided up among playoff teams only according to how the team fares. So the Dodgers get the most, Jays get 2nd most, etc The other items in the article is direct revenue to the Jays (Rogers actually) such as increased advertising revenue
  21. Of course we are. But d'backs want MLB pitching in return, so the teams don't match up well.
  22. It's normal accounting practice to discount future expenditures to present value.
  23. $700 million. $460 million (or thereabouts) paid by the Dodgers and $240 million in earned interest.
  24. Spanky will revert back and start fighting with everyone again
