  1. Barnes has options and makes MLB min. Barnes for Robertson doesn't make sense unless it's a Melvin Upton type deal.
  2. I hope he plays well and does. If he doesn't there are other options, Pearce and Bautista among them.
  3. Hurl, if Vlad destroys MWL pitching, and then does the same to FSL pitching, would that do it?
  4. Same, although how much is based on hype and how much on scout evaluations of Vlad at 17 compared to guys like Harper at 17? The answer is somewhere in the middle most likely.
  5. That wouldn't be a surprise given the nature of rankings. But doesn't change what I said.... bloodlines (ie. DNA) is a thing.
  6. Sickels Ranking: Vlad Jr Sean Reid Foley Urena Gurriel Jr Alford Tellez Harris Zeuch Greene Maese Bichette Perdomo Woodman Pentecost Palacios McGuire Ramirez Borucki Rios Jackson Not much difference
  7. Not entirely... bloodlines is a thing.
  8. Leonel who? Should I care?
  9. King you've got the BJMB Jays top 20 (or was it 15?)..... would be good to add Sickels to it for comparison. Pretty please?
  10. Pitt is loaded with top prospects. Ideal trade partner for JD.
  11. Really? Wow! Can't believe the Mexican papers didn't mention anything.
  12. Sanchez > Syndergaard Props to LTBF
  13. True. Me mom can barely walk usually. But after the shot, she can do cartwheels. I don't support cheaters in HOF.
  14. Hope so.... 5 years @ $12M AAV would be great
  15. This would have similarities to predicting pavement performance and investment returns.
  16. Well f*** just split the middle
  17. Championship calibre? Maybe. For sure guys like Stro, Sanchez, Osuna, JD bring you championship calibre prospects.
  18. Excellent news. This is how championships are won, with several cost controlled elite players on the roster at same time. Will be a few lean years, but with Shatkins in charge, by 2020 / 2021 should be seeing the results. Also, this suggests JD will get moved for an overpaid 3B bum, along with a prospect horde.
  19. Maybe. This year is the time to give Pompey a fair chance.
  20. Coors a bit, yes. But also, the HOF voters don't understand what a complete ballplayer Walker was. Until more of them pay attention to defense, baserunning, OBP, etc and less to shiny s*** like average, HR, RBI, players like Walker will get shafted.
  21. Fair enough. As I said earlier, getting Cutch elevates the team to 2nd tier of contenders, still behind a fair number of teams - and at $14M leaves little room for other additions based on what I know of the budget. This team needs to adopt the 'long view', IMO.
  22. Wrong again mate! Wrong side of 30 means anyone older than 30.
  23. It's not just the name/bloodline, its what he did as a 17 yr old in his first professional year. For a guy on the wrong side of 30, who becomes a UFA after 2018?
  24. Let's add to this that the Jays at the time of the Dickey trade had multiple pitching prospects and were regarded by many as having the best crop of pitching prospects in the majors - dealing from a position of surplus. They don't have that today wrt position players. Not defending the Dickey trade, just to be clear.
