  1. Hello all, very pleased with the reception. Exactly as I would have wanted it. Thank you. I'll be boning up on the rules and FS's handiwork over the next few days.
  2. JD could probably be had for the $33M / yr you would be paying Trout anyway. And you retain two potential stars, the top prospects in the Jays system since the Lansing 3. Retaining those two is well worth the ~2-3 annual WAR difference we can expect between JD and Trout for the next few years. And isn't a perpetual contender the goal, and isn't retaining and developing prospects the key to this?
  3. In a vacuum, Trout for Vlad and Bichette is a no brainer. My argument all along is resign JD and retain Vlad and Bichette is the better option.
  4. Show me where I made that assumption. Both Bo and Vlad would currently grade as B+ or A- IMO, future MLB regular. Wasn't long ago I was one of the few saying no to Vladdy for Cutch. There's no guarantee Trout will continue at this level, either - could get injured, lose speed and range, etc.
  5. No, I understand how good he is and still feel JD + Bo + Vladdy > Trout through the end of Trout's contract at which point cost controlled Bo + Vladdy >> Trout
  6. Sure, but there is no way the surplus value of Bo and Vladdy is less than the difference between Trout and JD
  7. I wouldn't trade Bo and Vladdy for Trout. Trout at $33M+ means JD cannot be resigned. If Jays are gonna spend that much AAV on one player, just resign JD and keep Bo and Vladdy.
  8. Pillar OBP April .339, May .328, June .290 Predicting a sub .300 OBP for Pillar at end of season
  9. Vlad and Bo in Dunedin within a few weeks. I want to see them have a short stint with the Fisher Cats before the year is out.
  10. Liriano. Biagini's workload needs to be managed, plus his versatility, ability to be an effective spot starter or pitch multiple innings out of the pen has more value than the value difference between Liriano and Biagini as starters.
  11. Nope. No different than anyone else, not infallible.
  12. Never be disappointed with a prospect. They are way more likely to fail than succeed.
  13. Ditto for the Falls Would be interested in knowing what the deal is for a backwater like SK
  14. Jesus. I hope we got something real good for him.
  15. My neighbour Spats was at the game today. Looking forward to his report.
  16. Yes, but amazing bat control
  17. C'mon Ang, no one likes someone tooting their own horn
  18. Excellent! I've looked at the same area, prices are relatively good compared to other lakefront in the province.......
  19. Maybe, although it could be argued that the pitcher is more involved in the defensive end of things than the CF
  20. How important is that thing between the ears when pitching?
  21. Nice town in a quiet part of ON... did you get a place on the Grand?
