    Sure, but from a time value of money perspective, they should be leaning towards moving them sooner than later is all I am saying. If Jays brass think they have a realistic shot at WC2 (like last off season with JD), then that changes the calculus. I don't think they do have a realistic shot in 2019.

    Is it not true that MLB'ers under team control depreciate in value as the amount of control decreases, and prospects typically increase in value as they get closer to MLB (of course this is not the case for every prospect). If the Jays intend to trade Stroman and/or Sanchez for prospects, better to do it sooner than later IMO.

    Generally agree. But it works both ways, the prospects that Shatkins is targetting today in return for stro or sanchez may no longer be available at the deadline if they perform well the first half.
