  1. Zero concern about trading Orelvis. The red flags on him are rather large, all or nothing approach might work with minor leaguers, not getting anywhere with MLB pitchers. Tiedeman would be a bit harder to take, but pitchers, man. If that's what it takes for Castillo or Montas, I'm on board.
  2. No one in his/her right mind would accept your offer, connor. J-Rod is just getting started, FTJ is already damaged.
  3. And you wanted a 1st and 3rd as well.
  4. Would anyone here trade Wander and J-Rod for FTJ?
  5. Abreu, meh. Hunter Brown maybe, but he's wild. Whitley is a basket case.

And the Rocket Richard. Hat trick.
  7. "douche"? Grow up mate Relievers are the most volatile assets, even you should know that
  8. Trading for relievers is such a f***ing crapshoot. Last year the Chisox traded for Kimbrel who sucked balls. Just one example of many. God forbid the Jays trade any valuable pieces / prospects for f***ing relievers.
  9. Trade negotiations in full swing? If they need Collins, potentially Kirk or Moreno are being discussed.
  10. King started Pavin Smith over him yesterday, in LOD. Wow.
  11. I picked him up in the s***** yahoo league we are in, today. You had your chance.
  12. That has more to do with the value of control, as opposed to a desire to keep Franco over Adames. In this case, Moreno and Kirk are under control for some time yet, while Jansen has a few years of control left. It is most likely that Jansen gets traded although it could be any of the three.
  13. Where did I say the Jays don't have preferences on who to keep / who to trade? Although that likely isn't what happens in practice, what happens in practice is the Jays valuation of the 3 catchers is different from the valuation of a potential trading partner. A GM isn't doing they job if they let personal preferences get in the way of a strict value analysis.
  14. Bo isn't going anywhere, but Espinal is a better SS. Moreno, Kirk, Jansen have value to the Jays, but if a team offers up more value in trade to fill positions of need, you take it, right? So no, you don't start off by making one or two of the 3 catchers off limits. Remember the Jays two WS was in large part prompted by trading fan favourite Crime Dog and Fernandez to SDP for Alomar and Carter. Nothing should be sacrosanct.
  15. Or maybe, trade one of the 3 catchers or prospects at the deadline, depending on what deal makes the most sense? There might be a team out there that is offering up what the Jays want, but want prospects. Or maybe they prefer a catcher. No sense in limiting oneself to any one approach. Everything should be on the table.
  16. We generally don't hear about test results on pitchers. We hear the pitcher can't pitch due to arm soreness and then a few days later, TJS or TOS. Before this, teams know the player has a partial tear or pitching with pain or whatever. Agree with connor full disclosure of a pitcher's arm health is not in a team's interest.
  17. Let's not dumb down BJMB for connor's benefit
  18. The length of time between his appearances supports this. Possibly one of those situations where it was a choice of surgery or rest and rehab, and the rest and rehab didn't work out.
  19. Yahoo is f***ing brutal. Doesn't show Gilbert pitching the 2nd game of a doubleheader today. Only reason I knew he was pitching is I own him in FT. Can we move this league to FT next year?
  20. I agree with this. With pitch design these guys are throwing to get max movement/ deception / tunnelling between different pitches. A lot of stress on those things in the arm. Things break if they are stretched too far, the whole idea is not to stretch so much that the 5 or 6 day recovery period isn't enough (and they get shelled, or worse, next game).
