  1. I'm ready to move George Kirby if anyone has an equivalent value young 3B available.
  2. Hard to know what Nats want in return but given the state of the org it is likely they prefer players with more control / prospects package. They probably value Bo / Gurriel less than the Jays do. I suspect they would want Manoah, Moreno, at least two of Tiedemann/Frasso/Zulueta, and probably a few lower level guys they like.
  3. 3 games out of the playoffs, it's happening
  4. Holy leg kick.... no way that works in MLB
  5. Hard to say without seeing your whole team, given its a 20-keeper league. If the consolidation deal makes sense from your end, its fine. Face value, its an overpay. Also, its Vaughn.
  6. Health reports must check out I guess. A healthy Rocker has ace upside, no?
  7. For his career Biggio has 106 wRC+ vs LHP and 108 vs RHP I'm not saying one is better than the other, but that they are close in value. Flip a coin in other words. It's in response to Gruber's dumb post.
  8. Zimmer PR for Kirk is not a bad move, get a run and 6 outs from a win
  9. Biggio 0.9 fWAR in 49 games / 158 PA Espinal 1.7 fWAR in 89 games / 345 PA WAR production is pretty comparable
  10. Got to wonder if part of the reason Soto turned it down is Nats looking at a relatively long rebuild, that and seeing Trout languish for LAA. Maybe he accepts that deal from certain other teams.
  11. Good call, but holding a bat over the plate is worse
  12. Wander with the broken hamate, out 6-8 weeks. Brujan or Xavier coming up?
  13. Now or this offseason is the time to sign them long term, IMO
  14. So let's say you cash prospects at the deadline in an effort to make the playoffs. And you end up missing the playoffs. Where does that leave you; a barren farm, a year older Springer, a year closer to Vlad and Bo free agency, etc. As I said, this does not look like the year to move prospects to fill holes. If the Jays unexpectedly win 3/4 of their games between now and the AS break, the calculus might be different.
  15. Disagree. Baseball is funny. Next year might well be like 2021, only better. Pick your spots to go all in. This year isn't it.
