  1. A Fangraphs idiot says the AL Cy Young is between Ohtani, Verlander, McClanahan, and Cease. Yet, Gausman has the highest WAR. The writer puts Cease in there when Gausman has better numbers pretty much across the board. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/shohei-ohtani-the-al-awards-races-and-unicorns/
  2. I wouldn't want any players engaging with Odor the f***ing psychopath. The manager or the coaches, sure.
  3. lol, sample size is so small the numbers are meaningless
  4. Properly, you do a student's t test or some other test for outliers, and if the test assesses a result as an outlier, you disregard the result.
  5. Everything is interconnected, bro.
  6. I wasn't making comparisons with last year. Pitching has not been what was expected when the season started. Jays were the odds on favourite to win the division. Even if the pitching has been overall better than last year, it was expected to be, and better than it has been.
  7. Jays lacking in win totals because the pitching has not been what was expected, and the absence of depth which is certainly on the F.O. (and possibly issues getting players to sign with TO during COVID). Heck, I remember harping on and on in the offseason about the pitching depth issue, wanted Taijan resigned. On the offensive side, roughly on par with last season overall.
  8. Nah, its a very successful troll of Spanky
  9. Jays analytics must have found things in Tapia's profile they liked. What stats can't take into account is the mental approach to the game. Biggio's plate approach is miles and miles ahead of Tapia. And it looks like coaching Tapia hasn't borne fruit.
  10. I can't remember a season where fans didn't lament could have, should have, would have. Nature of baseball, this season is no different. Everything being complained about applies to every team in baseball.
  11. As long as this is the attitude, the Rays are going to give trouble. Time to expunge this bias out of our heads
  12. Austin Barnes out by several feet at home, walks to the dugout staring at the 3B coach lol
  13. Current Rays starting rotation is Corey Kluber, Luis Patino, Drew Rasmussen, Jeffrey Springs, and ? Why should we be scared of the Rays
  14. C'mon mate, Bo is just one player. I made the playoffs with f'ing Belly We'll make an off season deal to fix the plm and give you a better balanced team
  15. Get another run or two and save the better bullpen arms
  16. spankoff vs. c-pee matchup looking forward to the gloating by one and the bitching and moaning by the other
  17. Who wants to change their mind on trading Teo in the off season?
