  1. I don't care what anyone else thinks, but Dave Stieb's # needs to be retired ASAP.
  2. Absolutely should extend Jansen now Weird, and maybe somewhat concerning, that the Jays have not extended many (any?) existing players. Who was the last one.... can't be Grich can it?
  3. Vladdy worst case scenario
  4. Was Belt the backup to Pollock? Those signings were basically back to back.
  5. Camilo Doval available Also Tyler Stephenson or Jonah Heim
  6. Trade him before his value drops more.
  7. Brian Anderson is still out there. Has battled injuries the last few years but if healthy is an above average bat. Should be fairly cheap, the kind of risk a team can take for the last bench piece.
  8. Belt was signed just a few days after Pollock was signed. Possible the Jays wanted Pollock as a better team fit, and pivoted to Belt after he signed elsewhere.
  9. Durability / stamina was the question with Houck as I recall. Ability to maintain velo into the game.
  10. Olerud posts good stuff now and then, unlike the other guy.
  11. Good proposal right here folks
  12. Actually CF looks like the fence has moved out, might be a neutral or slightly pitcher friendly park going forward. Also, with the change in dimensions, Jays were smart (strategic?) in getting LHB
  13. The fence has been moved back in the corners, a bit in in front of bullpens, and no change in CF. Looks like, anyway
  14. Ya that was my interpretation of the schematic also, they had to do something with the bullpens or something, so fence comes in a bit in front of the bullpens
  15. Any reference to the King of MarOLago is trolling by definition.
  16. Very, very good.
  17. Trolling at its finest. You are going to get me banned.
  18. For pitchers and catchers, yes. Official start is later I think
  19. Learn something new every day. Thanks Carlos
  20. I am expecting Rafaela to have every chance to win the SS job
  21. Apparently an old injury that didn't properly heal. That may result in Correa breaking down and unable to play.... At least, that's the Twitter reporting.
  22. BA's international prospects bonus board came out today. Emmanuel Bonilla is ranked 4th. Born: Jan. 22, 2006. Ht.: 6-2. Wt.: 190. B-T: R-R. The Blue Jays have hit on international signings at the top of the market (Vladimir Guerrero Jr.) down to the lower-dollar signings like Alejandro Kirk and Gabriel Moreno. For Jan. 15, 2023, Bonilla looks to be in line for a bonus in the $4 million area. Bonilla has high-end bat speed and the ability to drive the ball with impact, giving him a chance to be a 25-plus home run threat. Scouts highest on Bonilla thought he had one of the best combinations of hitting ability and power in the class, with a sound swing path and a good approach. Others thought he was a good fastball hitter who would have to make adjustments to get better against breaking stuff with a power-over-hit offensive profile. Bonilla is an above-average runner with a strong arm, so he could start off in center field, though with his physicality it's likely he ends up in right field long term.
  23. Looks like he could hit up to 40 HR, with health and regular playing time Not to reopen the whole debate, but Belt hitting behind Vladdy will force the RHP to challenge Vlad..... let's hope he doesn't chase as much
  24. Mishandling of Donaldson is the No. 1 knock on Shatkins. Of course we don't know the behind the scenes details, but damn.....
