  1. Sort of like Stroman, except that Stroman started in Vancouver.
  2. I'll repeat, Escobar should've set his foot on the edge of the bag (like a 1B does) instead of on top of the bag since he knew it would be a close play. How do I know 'he knew it would be a close play'? Well, simple, he stretched out like a 1B does to catch the throw. Lawrie slid over the bag and his momentum carried him over the bag and onto Escobar's leg.
  3. Could be mid 2016, but we'll get a better idea once he's back in games some time in May. There's no doubt they'll move him fast as long as he does well so if he ends up this year at AA, you start him at AAA next season and call him up mid-season. Unless he struggles, of course.
  4. Hendriks wouldn't be the first/last failed starter to become a good reliever. We can obviously see his fastball is err...faster by being in relief, but I wonder if the slider has improved for the same reason or if Pete Walker has helped him improve a la Hutchison?
  5. That's fine if you don't trust him to do anything, but it was widely speculated that they were not allowed to add any meaningful $ last year. This is what the point of the article was. We'll see what happens....or doesn't happen.
  6. Forgot to post the below regarding whether or not the team has money left: Davidi: Jays on track for in-season payroll flexibility.
  7. I'm pretty sure most posters here were all for Martin catching R.A.
  8. Are you saying he should've spent all his money on relievers?
  9. Nice jinx King, Greene just imploded in the 4th and is out of the game.
  10. Good 'cause he just seems to hit one rocket after the other against them.
  11. Escobar brought that on himself, he should've set his fot just on the edge of the base, like a 1B does since he knew it would be a close play and wouldn't try to turn the DP.
  12. 5K through 3 now. Also, DSJ with 2 more hits, a good first month could earn him a promo to Buffalo.
  13. Castro's been getting away with pitches right down the middle. .. cost him there
  14. Thanks rays jays. It looks like I was right. These slides happen all the time and probably too often.
  15. Umpire feeling sorry for blue jays and is now giving them every call
  16. Happens all the time, but it's alright, let's move on.
  17. There is nothing to end since, as I said earlier, it was Lawrie's momentum that made his 1 spike go up and right over the bag, as your picture shows. This happens all the time. As I also said earlier, Dejesus slid into Travis even though Travis had stepped away from the bag. This also happens all the time.
  18. How did this happen?
