ERA. Not only has he been deemed the team's best reliever, but Gibbons is using him as if he was Mariono Rivera.

His fastball has been running over the middle of the plate or completely off the plate which = lots of trouble. He's also not commanding his slider and changeup. The sooner they admit defeat on this one, the better. In fact, I'd have more respect for them if they admitted a mistake and sent him down ASAP and I'm sure I'm not the lone ranger on this one.

For me, it was more about over-managing after a bloop hit that would've been caught had the OF not been playing deep. Osuna vs DeJeesus doesn't scare me with a guy on 1st. Then to top it off, he takes out Cecil after a gb single. What should be most worrying to Jays fans is that the Gibbons hasn't noticed that Castro's been terrible.

Oh, I really like Pompey, I'm just trying to figure out why Pompey's not playing CF, it just seems odd. As I said, I also don't agree with Smoak riding the bench so often this early season just to get Navarro's bat in the lineup.

Gibbons is likely sending a message to Pompey, "I don't care that Pillar can't hit rhp, if you don't get it going, he could replace you in CF". I hope not, but then why does he keep finding excuses to bench Smoak? We'll see what happens.

I never said he wasn't an MLBer. I've been a supporter of his. He's a 4th OF and will get plenty of PT which is no surprise to him since he knew Saunders would be the everyday LF. We'll see what happens.

I assume he plays good D since he's black...lol. But seriously, Pillar wasn't supposed to be this good on D although it's SSS. Pillar seems like a D-Backs type of player, maybe they'll take him with Navarro for a pitcher. For the record, I'm not a Pillar haterz, just like looking to sell high on some players.

Boyd's starting tonight for NH. Another good start and promote him to Buffalo? I think so.

Maybe the Jays can sell high on Pillar if/when DSJ is hitting well in Buffalo.

It is, especially with Travis's start, which will obviously come back down to earth. I do think Pompey's gonna improve on what we've seen so far. Hopefully Gibby plays Smoak more regularly.

Saunders IS healthy, AA just wanted to wait another day to see if someone would give him a SP for Tolleson.
