  1. Well, Stroman pitched for NH, but maybe Stroman and a Lansing guy...who knows, I really hope AA is done with these stupid trades.
  2. Rasmus and Izturis trying to carry this sad bunch on their backs, but Arencibia, Lawrie and Bonifacio are too heavy for them....hope I'm wrong!
  3. If the Blue Jays sign them, they'll probably be busts anyway.
  4. I'd like to think this won't happen, but who knows.
  5. Broken up
  6. So RickyRo is done for the day: 8IP, 4H, 1ER, 1BB, 4K.
  7. I don't think they care anymore, they're experimenting with things like playing Lawrie at 2B so they can have Izturis at 3B.
  8. So would any other franchise have tolerated what's gone on this season without firing or dfa'ing someone? I doubt it.
  9. Verlander no-hit bid through 6...oh wait, is that too early? Too late.
  10. How no one has paid any price for this clown show is really something else.
  11. So I'm trying to avoid listening to Pat Tabler do a broadcast by watching the Futures Game and Rick Sutcliff is doing that broadcats, lol!
  12. Haha, Gibbons just letting them go, no managing or coaching going on, he's right though, it's over.
  13. He's been hit or miss, but there's no denying that the offense has been horrible in his starts. The defense is what it is and Gibbons said they're trying Lawrie at 2B because they have nothing to lose as they're already in last place. This sounds like he's given up. Can they get better value than a comp pick for JJ before July 31st? Stay tuned.
  14. Feldman will no hit the Jays, they probably already started the AS break.
  15. I think the team has to contend next year or he's gone. First one to go should be Beeston though, if they don't have the right guy as President, it's unlikely they'll get a top GM.
  16. It's a business after all and Rogers makes tons of money on the tv side of things. They saw the potential last year for increased attendance and ratings and their eyes got huge, no doubt in my mind. After the bad 2nd half, they felt they had to make a splash or 2 to keep this going and there was no guarantee that they would get their guys in FA. I think AA needs to make an Escobar/Rasmus type deal or 2 to round out the roster. We'll have to wait and see.
  17. I wish they'd just include the tip with the prices or at least add a recommended tip to the amount, I'm sure not many would complain about 15%. I'm pretty sure some people don't even know that 15% is the standard or expected tip. As others have said, it's pretty f***ed up that this waitress expects more from wealthier people than from others, what f***ing business is it of hers? We all pay for the same f***ing meal, don't we? I really hope someone sues her for publishing a receipt with CC info.
  18. Let's also not forget that even those who thought it was an overpay picked this team to contend so obviously they thought it was a good team coming into the season, me included. I suspect the mandate from Beeston and Rogers changed after the disastrous 2nd half in 2012 and he felt he couldn't strike out in FA, but I have no way of proving this other than to look back at how reluctant he had been in trading away his prospects in the previous years. To see him abruptly change course makes me think the mandate was changed. Anyway, maybe they'll have a 15-gamer in the 2nd half and make it all worthwhile!
