Does he know it though? Or does he chalk it up to bad injury luck? As I said, I can see him addressing 2B/3B and maybe C, but not OF/DH and starting pitching beyond replacing JJ which shouldn't that hard to do given his performance.

I agree on 2B/3B, but disagree that he's looking for an upgrade in the OF. He would be admitting to being wrong on Cabrera by acquiring another OF and I don't think he's ready to do that. I feel the same about pitching, he depleted the farm and used up his payroll flexibility to address the starting rotation and to go out and give up more prospects to address a need he THOUGHT he had addressed in the offseason would be to admit failure.

If they move relievers and get something decent in return, that would be fine. I hope they actually take a look at what they could get for JJ, but I sense that they don't want to give up on the season.

I was just remembering that he was mouthing off last year. I didn't put it on him, I said the team 'might be' better if he was a bit more consistent. The season's been over since mid May anyway so who cares. -
Well, if it works out, all it means is that instead of 2B being a black hole, it's 3B.

Alright, so there's no excuse to not trade relievers at the deadline as well as shopping JJ and Buehrle.

I agree with this, not sure it helps his struggling offense to have to change positions in the middle of the year.

Don't agree with this, they're moving Lawrie because of Izturis. Whatever makes sense to them I guess.

That's true, I remember he missed some games because of a family thing and there were a couple of rainouts right after that. Anyway, even rehab stints have been going wrong for the Blue Jays this season.

If they have any brains, they'd deal a reliever or 2 and include one of the IF.

Man, that sucks, but he's got options and hopefully it won't be too long till they trade a couple of relievers.

Oh and I just saw that Happ pitched 3 innings for the GCL Jays, didn't even know he was starting a rehab assignment.

At the end of the day, there will be busts all over the draft, so get over your disappointments. Time will tell, there could be HS guys drafted that develop better than players that were ranked higher at the time. Mike Trout was the 25th pick, Albert Pujols in the 13th round or something? We'll have to wait and see what happens. -

So when is Bautista gonna demand that the team acquire players to help him win? Wasn't it around this time last year that he went public with his demands? If he was more consistent, the team might be better.
