  1. So any word on why Ross and Kemp were taken out of SD's game or was it just dehydration?
  2. Basically, Jays can now afford the PR and performance hit of trading Bautista. I'm not saying they're trying to trade him, just they've acquired a new core for the next 3-5 years.
  3. Let's look at this trade as 3 separate deals: Would you do Tinoco for Hawkins? Would you trade Castro to get rid of Reyes's salary? Would you trade Hoffman for Tulo?
  4. Alford didn't take his last AB...probably dehydrated.
  5. Encarnacion for Kemp and Ross?
  6. Pompey go tmore value than Alfor, amirite?
  7. They didn't just get rid of Reyes, they got Tulo in return, but I'm falling asleep so who knows wtf.
  8. I remember many posters saying how bad the team looked 2 years down the road. Well, now they have added Donaldson, Martin and Tulo.
  9. So you're saying that it's just a rumour that the Jays got Tulo? Mods, please change thread title.
  10. This is nuts. Another AA special. Since last off season, AA has added Donaldson, Martin and Tulo yet the team is 1 game under .500..go figure although Tulo hasn't played a game. I wish Reyes well.
  11. Fair enough. Basically, as I said above, I can see why Cleveland would ask for the moon, just not a match with Blue Jays.
  12. So we'll agree to disagree. I did ask about Stroman vs Carrasco in 2014. I guess we'll find out next year if Stroman's 2014 was a fluke. I won't even get into adding Travis. Fair to say you were/are not high on Travis at all and so far been wrong?
  13. What do you think of Stroman's performance last year? Is it comparable to Carrasco's 2014? If so, I just don't see the point of adding anything freakin' Travis who's at 2.3 WAR so far. Carrasco is at 2.7. Regardless, I agree that Cleveland would and should ask for the moon. Just doesn't make sense for Jays.
  14. Speak for yourself, although I do understand that Cleveland would ask for the moon. No doubt Carrasco has been great the last 2 years, but prior to that doesn't seem like he was that great and is 28.
  15. So you're sending Stroman the other way?
  16. Oh and some supposedly smart guys thought the Red Sox were the deepest team in the universe and their rotation was alright. s*** happens and we don't know s***.
  17. I'm pretty sure many here were very low on the Yanks position players.
  18. Or the team stops making stupid mistakes in close games. In all honesty, this team is 2 games ahead of the White Sox who are supposed to be awful with 4 more games played. If I was the owner, I'd get a consultant and review every move proposed by this F/O. Anyway...
  19. Apparently, Liam Hendriks has appeared in just 4 games in July.
  20. I don't think anyone really knows. You also have to factor in raises for some of the players. Also, what would the Jays have to give up to get these guys from Padres? I mean, if Padres are in sell mode trying to shed payroll, it might be worth it to take on Kimbrel's contract to pay less for Cashner/Ross.
  21. Irrelevant, but all good raysjays, you're consistent.
  22. I wonder what the rationale was for sitting Travis today. He's been hot and putting up good at-bats. I actually don't remember Reyes getting a day off lately. Some have speculated that he started Goins because he was 3-5 vs Walker with a HR, which if true, would make it weird that he'd have Goins bunt in first AB. And if he asked him to bunt in his first AB with Walker on the ropes, why not ask him again in his 2nd AB? Also, not only do the Jays have an offday tomorrow, but they had one last Monday so really, Travis shouldn't have been tired.
