    I guess AA shouldn't have said they had no innings limit on Hutchison. Just another serving of foot for his mouth.

    He shouldn't be looking for middle relievers to the point of overpaying like he did in the Rogers trade. He gave up Thames for a hard-thrower in Delabar. He gave up Snider for Lincoln. I don't get why he thought that after getting those 2 guys, he needed to give up 2 position players to get Rogers. I think he has a fetish for relief pitchers. Whether he targets hard-throwers or not is not as relevant.

    Looks like Red Sox will win their 5th in a row. I hope the Rays win 2 of 3, but doesn't look likely.

    You're right. My point was more that AA didn't stop at getting Delabar and Lincoln, he kept going. I've said it before, it's a fetish. Also, given what it took to get Delabar, there's no way he should've had to give up 2 position players for Rogers, but let's not go there again. Let's hope he learned his lesson, but there are rumblings he's after middle relief help.

    The throw does hurt, but it's more about timing than anything else. There are plays that are not made that lead to a run earlier in games that don't get the same attention as an error or misplay in the 9th inning. They had 2 runners picked off 1B and they also misplayed a bunt to 3B. Like you said, the pitching has been bad, that's where it starts. Tonight, the offense just didn't get it done, but that's the poor pitching is more concerning.

    Yeah, but that really should be dirt. It just looks horrible sliding on that dirt-coloured cement carpet.

    LOL. Don't give AA any ideas. Last time he was looking for a hard-throwing reliever, he went after Lincoln, Delabar AND didn't stop there, as he gave up Aviles and Gomes for Rogers.

    Very true. 2 guys got picked off 1B. They misplayed a bunt to 3B as well. They won the game Hendriks started thanks to a large extent to defense. It hurts and sucks what happened yesterday, but they're just not hitting today.

    I hope Hutchison is fine and they're just thinking of giving him an extra day. They had considered a 6-man rotation before, they might be considering this again.
