    Smoak had nothing to turn around, though, is the point. From the beginning of the season (March 29th) until June 3rd, he put up a 136 wRC+. From June 5th until June 27th, he put up a futile 47 wRC+. However, since June 29th, he's contributed a 210 wRC+ (not including tonight's assault). For almost the entire season, minus one awful stretch that lasted for only three weeks, Smoak's been well above average. He is especially hot right now, though.

    This makes sense, as his 21.8 K-BB% at the major-league level was just not cutting it, nor was it indicative in any way of his true skill. Maybe one day he'll learn how to improve on his ERA in Colorado. Until then, he's nothing to get excited about.

    I was offered his Charlie Morton for my Juan Soto in a 12-team non-board roto dynasty league (in its 11th season!) in a season that nobody has any chance of catching first place. I'm 5th. And yes, it was a serious offer. SHOOD EYE DEW ITT? Thought it was too awful to keep to myself.

    I gave up on fixing this about six months ago. Pretty sure I was the only one putting them in order. On that note, we need a newer, better, revamped sheet. The current one is...underwhelming at best.

    Assuming that BTS wasn't being sarcastic, he's probably in favour of it because Szymborski is an upgrade over about 80% of FanGraphs' current writing staff. And regardless of whether you're a fan of ZIPS (personally, I think there are better projection systems out there despite its popularity - i.e. Steamer), he's a smart baseball mind.
