Will Riddick Bowe do as he promised? I'd like to see Carlyle knocked out of our solar system. The Alpha Centaurians can have him!

I'd switch that and trade Stuart while keeping Byfuglien. Stuart is a bad defenceman, both based on watching him and on his stats since 2010 when he was traded to Atlantapeg (Score Close; ZS adjusted): Fenwick For%: 48.5% Teammate FF%: 51.0% Opposition FF%: 49.8% Meanwhile, Byfuglien's stats (since 2010 when he switched to D; same situation): FF%: 52.9% Teammate FF%: 48.6% Opposition FF%: 50.0% It would be an unwise move by the Jets to keep Stuart and trade Byfuglien.

It's better to isolate each shot by type/distance/angle and give it a specific goal value. Now, if only NHL shot distance data was accurate...

This has to be one of the worst things I've ever seen a "professional" journalist do. So, Curtis Rush of the Star wrote an article criticizing the people on Twitter who went after Reimer's wife. One of the people he quoted was Hope in the Big Smoke's twitter profile: https://twitter.com/mc79hockey/status/448167343739240448 It turns out, the tweet was not only taken out of context in terms of criticizing Reimer's play only, but also that it wasn't even Hope who wrote that statement. He was quoting Darren Dreger: https://twitter.com/mc79hockey/status/448168288686592000 Truly scummy journalism right there, and Rush still hasn't apologized for what he did. I won't post a link to the article since it doesn't deserve any clicks.

The article's conclusion of heavily weighing anecdotal evidence over the stats doesn't make sense. If one goes by anecdotal evidence, and this Raptors teams makes it to the conference semifinals against Miami or Indiana (or, somehow, further), then this season could be the Raptors' version of the 1992-93 Leafs season for them (going from piss poor play to the conference finals in one year). I would call that historic and their best ever. Regardless, Raptors fans have every right to enjoy this season. It has been a good one for the Raps.

You should include TOI/GP in your weighting system, especially for forwards. Plays a part in QoT.

Especially after trading Schneider not too long ago. They originally had a goalie controversy because they had two starting goaltenders. Now? Two unproven goaltenders. Lousy asset management by Gillis here.

  21. The numbers seem to suggest that Cesar did pretty damn well last year. And once you adjust for the fact that the MLS is a weaker league, then you've got yourself one hell of a pickup.
  22. There isn't a long list of players who had diabetes, but some big players had it. Most famous player who had it was Ron Santo who, while not a pitcher, hid it for most of his career.
